Since we have a few musicians on here, I wanted to ask... what do you play? And what kind of equipment do you have? And finally, what got you started on that instrument?

For me, I mainly play a Gibson Les Paul Custom on a 30 watt Marshall amp (I'm at school, can't be too loud). I also play the piano, bass, and drums, but the guitar is what I focus on.

I don't play anything, but my girlfriend is a concert level pipe organ player. It sounds stupid, but it is so much more badass than piano.

a fair question indeed.. i play bass and classical guitar.. i have 2 basses a shitty behringer fender P-bass copy and a warwick corvette $$, i have 2 bass amplifiers a 15 watt behringer amp which the vocal guy uses because i put a much better speaker on it and a hartke A70.. my classical guitar is just a tenson, but it does it's job

Hmmmm, well I play guitar on an Epiphone Les Paul Custom (I can't afford a Gibson, obviously). I have numerous effects pedals, and an 80 Watt Marshall Amp. I also own an Epiphone Dove acoustic. I have an Allen Woody Rumblekat bass, with another Marshall Amp (also 80 watt).

In terms of keyboards, I own a Yamaha PSR-259, which is a pretty good keyboard. I also own a Quasimidi Sirius synthesiser, and a basic 8-track recorder as well as mics etc.

I have a lot of music software on my PC.

I own a very basic set of Arbiter Flat drums, which I play not too often, but enough to warrant me owning it.

I also own a mandolin, ukelele and two violins.

I play both guitar and bass (and sing). Currently, my bass setup consists of a Schecter Stiletto Custom Elite, 2 Hartke 4x10 XL410s and an ampeg SVP-BVP pre-amp (discontinued) with a rackmount sansamp through a 600 watt power amp. Pumps hard. Too bad I don't play it in a band anymore. All I have for guitar is an old Epiphone LesPaul body rip-off and a Peavy practice amp that surprisingly has a good solidstate tone.

I do, however, yell my head off for a band (www.deathright.com).
