Hey guys i have a strange request/question. I work in a sports center in the 'soft play' area called 'Specky's Pirate Ship' the music we are using in the usual kid friendly classic disney music and things like that. I just watched Muppets treasure island (great film) and thought of burning some tracks to a CD for work. Things like 'Shiver my Timbers', 'Cabin Fever' and 'A Professional Pirate' But listening to this 1996 i think music and compare it to kids music now... in Shiver my timbers there is a line 'When there is money in the ground there's murder in the air' and with political correctness these days do you think ill get alot of grief from customers, or do you think its fine?

The main thing is... Can anyone think of some decent pirate type? songs/music

Thanks to all that can help!

ALESTORM!

I'll find some.

Ah shit, youtube's down. Suffice to say, Alestorm are a Scottish Pirate metal band, who specialize in really epic (and I use that term correctly) combinations of sea shanties and power metal.

It might be a little extreme for the kiddies, but dammit, children have got to learn!
Lol they do indeed. Ill give it a listen but metal... im sure ill loose the nice job of sitting on my ass getting paid to play the DS and watch Ipod for £6.45 p/h... ahhh

EDIT: Hey, Youtube's back up.

Yes, I am well aware that there's no chance in hell you'll play this, but I listened to heavy metal when I was a kid and I'm normal enough!
Cheers, yeah but parents these days think seeing things like 'Batman the animated series' is too graphic for kids these days... come on Ben 10... 0_o Recently saw a kid with Goku from DBZ on this t-shirt... asked him if he knew what show he was from... no bloody idea

When Bink's Sake is mentioned, I will appear. I also agree with what Sleek said. It really lifts your spirits, and it is sung by a talking skeleton.
