Like most people who hate any particular genre because they think it's bad musicianship, you are wrong. Proof:

Metal. Even aborigine folk music I can stand. I'm not talking about dio/metallica type metal. I honest to god enjoy that. I'm talking about like... Suicide Silence. The stuff where there is ANY screaming, it loses 10,000 points for me. I would rather listen to Top 40.

So, like many people in the world, you don't like some genres of music. What are we supposed to conclude from this? What is the purpose of this thread, except to say "I don't like [stuff]"?
The purpose of this thread is to discuss music you don't like. Is this bad? Did I offend you? Like many other threads here, there is no conclusion, just interesting discussions with others.
Your thread doesn't really encourage discussion though. It just lists some stuff you don't like, and that's all. Maybe you could edit the OP in a way that encourages people to actually discuss the topic at hand, rather than just making this yet another list/hate thread that gets locked.

OK then, that makes sense.

Country and most pop. Rap isn't too bad, but it's really hit or miss if the song is any good, usually miss.

Oh, I never said that every aspect of country music was bad musicianship. If there's anything that doesn't suck, it's the guitar playing. Sometimes. My main complaint is the singing: the pronunciation of vowels and vocal techniques that define the genre are, to anyone else from any other genre, bad singing. That is not to say that everything about country music is inherently bad musicianship, but some of the things that make it what it is are.

Country - All I hear is shit about tractors and drinking. And now it got in bed with hip-hop and is making some kind of mutant clusterfucking music genre.

Hip-Hop - Not rap. Rap is an actual genre born from the inner city. Generally, rappers talk about their lives and their struggles. Hip-Hop is a bastardization of this.

Pop - Pop is a genre that commits suicide monthly. Are all the same songs on that were on last month? No. Why? THEY AREN'T POPULAR ANYMORE!

Metal - IS THE BEST.

I can't stand auto-tuners or synthesizers.
I don't know much about audio or recording. How do you know if someone is using it or not? Obvioulsly almost everything on the radio is like this though.

If mainstream is a genre then I hat mainstream.

I'm not trying to sound like an anti-conformist, alternative-douche who wears off brand clothing, listens to "underground" music that he doesn't even like just so that he won't be considered mainstream. It's just that ALL of the mainstream music is crap in my opinion.

Why don't any good bands ever become really popular nowadays?

That's pretty much what most of the threads on any website are about. That, or "I like [stuff]." I don't think we're supposed to "Conclude" anything from this. You're just supposed to contribute. What is your purpose of posting? It's obviously not to contribute. You posted simply to say "I don't like [this thread.]" I've no problem with that, though. Just seems hypocritical.

I can't stand emo, or screamo. Most of that indie stuff with the whiny singer(No offense, guys!) I don't like, either.

Because when they do, they become "Mainstream" and you hate them. :)

That's deathcore/metalcore, different from death metal. And even the metalheads look down upon that style of music.

Also, you kinda have to growl/scream over that type of music, singing over it wouldn't make much sense (unless you're Anaal Nathrakh).

Quoted for absolute truth.

edit: Anyway, on to the topic: I don't like rap. This isn't bandwagon riding or anything, I actually don't like it because I don't like it.

That's kind of a meaningless statement because you could in fact say that about almost any genre from country to screamo to rap to death metal to opera. Every genre has its specific vocal quirks, none of them are "bad musicianship", they are in fact very appropriate musicianship for that style. Vocal "musicianship" isn't about being technically the best, it's about being able to master the specific techniques of a style in such a way that compliments the music the most effectively.

I despise the current music industry. Talentless interchangeable attention whores litter the music scene like sprinkles made of cyanide and camel shit.

Justin Bieber gets international fame, a number one hit on the "charts" and all the tweenage poon he could want in a lifetime, yet almost nobody I've asked has ever heard of Taking Dawn.

The entire industry at the moment can be summed up in two words.

FUCKING INSULTING.

I try to tolerate most music, but I can't stand rap (I'd play a drinking game if I'm listening to rap: take a drink for every time you hear the words "run", "cops" [or any other term for cops], "ho", "gun", and any form of drugs. You'd be comatose before the song even begins), electronic music (techno, rave, etc. That kind of music puts me into a blank mindset. In my case, that's a really bad thing, as having a blank mind leads to me becoming very violent), some country (there's a big reason why I left the hickville that I used to live in, don't remind me of it), and emo music of any kind (quit your whining!). However, I think the thing that's more annoying than particular genres of music that we hate on is the idiots who blare it at five-hundred decibels so the whole neighborhood can hear it.
