Hate modern rap. I'm sorry but for me music is sung not spoken; unless its the old style rap ie sugarhill gang sort of stuff; don't mind that. Pop, mainly because after a couple of years or even months it becomes so out dated you cant listen to it. Deathmetal, crunkcore, screamo, some power metal. Country also for making me feel depressed or a fake sense of happiness. Rock/main metal is good though.

I DISLIKE: Pop, rap, and country is awful to my ears.

The more obnoxious dance and techno genres also get on my nerves fast.

Scream-o, un-rhythmic metals, and alternative are bad...

...

Wait, this will be easier...

I LIKE: Classic rock, orchestral, opera, jazz, R&B, acid-jazz, power/hair/speed metal, latino-dance, dance, techno, electronica, bohemian, and a few others.

I hate: Rap (music is like candy, throw away the rappers) techno electronic music, screamo, speed metal,
latino, dance, death metal (aka guitar rape), whatever slipknot makes, and a lot of other stuff.

I like: Hair metal, Rockabilly, Rock 'n Roll, Queen (i consider queen a genre for them self), some pop, country, blues and proto punk. thats all i can think about now.

Can't stand pop, techno, emo, rap or any genre that ends in "core".

I'm open to most other genres though. Not a huge metal fan but I understand the appeal.

Most of what I listen to is Alternative rock, Indie, Blues etc. Some of it doesn't really fall into a genre though.

Rap crap, modern pop, death metal, black metal, and ofc modern rock it's so... pussified compared whith the rock from the 60's to the 80's. But nearly anything modern is crap, before peapole made the music for the love to the music inspiration and opinions and usally not for the money today it's yust for fame and money and the music has nearly lost it's soul in todays music I only say "Go 50's to the late 80's."

Any 'genre' that uses auto tune. Auto tune is a goddamn cheat. I'm going to PAY to listen to a vocalist that has to be digitally corrected? No, I am not. Pop. I hate pop, it has no redeeming features. The videos? Nah, there's porn instead. I like what i like, not really genre-centric.

Youtube "Manele" there's a gist of the "musical genre" (loud cancer) that is eating my country piece by piece. It's some sort of gypsy music all about women, money, money, money their enemies (and how they plan to kill their enemies) money and the size of their phallus.

I mainly like to Alternative Rock, Punkrock and Alternative Metal.

The only kind of music I really don't like are some kinds of techno and death/thrashmetal.

And also I don't think all new or modern music is crap. Even though my favourite band is from 1982. And still the best band.

I like all music, but some genres of sound contain less music than others, and some can hardly be called music at all[footnote]A good example is rap.[/footnote].

Examples of sound that overall [footnote]Some genres may contain an exception or two.[/footnote] contains little music:
-Rap
-Hip Hop
-Techno
-Today's pop [footnote]Examples are Akon and other convicts.[/footnote]

Hard Core because it sounds like your speakers about to explode
Rap because the lyrics are just about how rich the singer is
Disney Pop (that is a genre right?) it sounds HORRIBLE I would even prefer Chritian "rock"
I DONT hate christian rock it tries to convey a message that makes sense (I geus)

I hate metal. Sorry, but I can't stand it.
You should be dissapointed with your self! Metal is the one and only good genre left in the music industry! Everything else is made through the clicks of a mouse, not acctually practising and playing on instruments.

Plus metal is fucking awesome!

Ladies and Gentleman I present; your average metal fan.

Your last two posts are so hilariously close minded I don't know where to begin...
Metalheads aren't all bad, It's just quite alot of people who like the genre give us a bad name.
I'll get on topic now, I hate the following genres:
Pop
R&B
Dance
Whiny teenage rock
Whiny teenage metal
Anything ending with 'Core'.

None of these genres are diverse enough to dismiss entirely, therefore... I will.

Degrading a musical style won't make it any less music than you would want to.

I hate most metal (Red Warszawa [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bW6SDEelRxQ] for life, but they are the exception), most opera and all kids singing about equally. The kids are annoying and metal and opera just sucks.

Death Metal. Honestly that is the only genre I can't stand at all. Granted there are other music genres I can say I'm not particularly fond of (Techno, rap, a lot of 90s pop and stuff like that) but I can usually find an exception to the rule. My taste in music is very broad. Yet I can't think of a single death metal band I like. In truth I would never listen to them outside of the show, but I guess you can say I sort of like Deathclok from Metalocalypse; but that's more for the comedy on the show even though their exaggerated stage shows and stuff make me laugh.

The only music I cannot, for my life, enjoy is the heavier kinds of metal such as deathcore, grindcore, brutalgore. Basically anything that involves growling and brutalizing the instruments involved. Oh, and anything involving screamo. Everything else I can more or less tolerate and even, sometimes, enjoy. Including rap and shallow mainstream pop.
