You know, I thought that I had really gotten back up on music again, but just seeing this thread and trying to think of albums and artists has made me realise that I have no idea what's coming out this year. I don't even know what was big in 2010. Nearly everything I listen to is older than me...
Anyway, the only things I can even think of that are coming out in 2011 are the new Lady Gaga album and Glee Vol. 5. I might have been excited about the latter two months ago, but, with season two going the way it has, I honestly don't like the show or its song choices anymore. They're not even so bad they're good, so there's not even camp fun value for me unless things turn around.
It's a good thing I like Lady Gaga because so far she's all I have to look forward to beyond more Motown, '70s funk or nostalgic nineties music from my childhood.

The only albums I know are coming right now are The Enigma of Life by Sirenia and Amaranthe's debut album. There are some others I'm looking forward to, but nothing confirmed
Dream Theater almost definitely, but looking at the wikipedia page was the first I've heard of the Mastodon album. A Mastodon album doesn't strike me as the kind that would go under the radar, especially with the quality of EVERY album being exceptional.Fraught said:
