Music on xbox-need help!

I have connected to windows media centre with my computer and X-box 360, I can play music on it. Now for the problem, how the bloody hell do I play music while playing a game? When I had my old computer I would just select music in the dashboard and off we go. But now this 'Windows Media Centre' thing denies it. I have no idea how to install music onto the dashboard now. Soo...Help?

Windows Media Centre is nothing but a pain in the arse.

You can either rip a CD to your 360 HDD, or do what I do and hook up an external USB HDD to one of the ports on the console. Make sure it's in FAT32 though, the 360 won't recognise NTFS.
