Music Or Videogames?

Alright, Escapists, it has come to my attention that many of you are great lovers of music
So, I put it to you that if you had to make a choice to never listen to music again or never play videogames again, which would you choose? Which could you not live without?
I know this might seem a tad silly because we're on a gaming forum, but I almost definitely would choose to give up gaming
I can't imagine my life without music in it. I'm a massive lover of punk, hardcore, metalcore, classic rock & roll and so on. I listen to music when walking, when driving, when on the computer (right now listening to Against Me!) and to never hear music again would crush me
Music influences everything I do and often even dictates my mood

Also, don't try and be picky about music in games. If you choose gaming then you would still hear the game's soundtrack, but on games like Madden and THPS or Skate you would not be able to listen to any of the artists featured on there
So, music artists or videogames? Which could you not live without?

Never listen to music. I much prefer video games to music, and could easily go without music. I pretty much did for the first 12 years of my life anyway. Wouldn't be hard to go back.

This is cheating because then I will buy all the various Rock Bands and Guitar Heroes and Brutal Legend and play them in the background when I want some music.

I'd choose music. I listen to music almost every waking moment of every day, I simply wouldn't last without it. Life would be even more unbearable. Whereas I can go without gaming if I choose. I've done it before. It'd suck, because music isn't interactive and gaming is, and I'd have to find a new hobby, but I could live without video games.

Sure, music is interactive. Very socially interactive, and getting your groove on is a wonderful way to pass an evening!

I could live without games more than music, I guess. Music just makes life better, somehow. Games are fun, but music is something very primal, very visceral, very powerful, even. It speaks to our brain much more than games do. Somehow, that has to be important.

This sums it up nicely. I love making music as well as listening to it. Playing a huge set list of songs gives me an extraordinary felling that I can't get anywhere else.

I'd have to choose music. Without the release of being to hear music, and make music of my own, I'd have gone crazy years ago.

I'd choose videogames. I love music and all, I own 200+ CDs, but I just couldn't give up Mass Effect, Halo, Civ 4, the Orange Box, etc.
