So i know on the 360 console as well as your PC you have the ability to play your own music while your playing the game, but the questions are do you play music while your gaming? and what kind would you listen to while your gaming? I prefer to listen to metal while I play but then again metal is, always have been always will be my favorite kind of music to listen to no matter what I'm doing..

...or who for that matter.

Depends on what type of game i'm playing. If im playing rpg maybe something more with tune and rythem, in a fps i'll play something like hard rock. not metal though i find it too distracting.

Sometimes. I like a lot of game music, so very often I'll just let that play. Sometimes I prefer to have just the sound effects from the game. And sometimes I'll plug my iRiver into my 360 for some variety - two of the best things I've done recently are listening to music from other Katamari games in Beautiful Katamari, and creating my own skate video soundtracks in Skate. Just a shame you can't save music with replays.

Oh, speaking of music in games - you'll be able to import your own warmup and goal music into NHL 09, which I think is a seriously cool feature.

Depends on which game I'm playing. Usually I'll only put on music if I'm playing an MMO, otherwise I like to listen to the game's music and sounds. The type of music I'll put on changes depending on my mood. Lately I've been into The Perishers, Angels and Airwaves, and other mellow stuff.

I, and some friends, have a thing called the Holy Diver montage. If we are playing a multi player game (usually GoW) we turn on Holy Diver (by Dio) and always end up winning. Hasn't let us down yet.

So yes, I like playing music during multi player games.

I don't like having music playing during single player because I usually miss out on important dialogue.

Fuck yeah, Holy Diver.

Anyways. Depends on the game. If I'm doing level grinding or something tedious, then I'll usually chuck my own soundtrack on.

Ahh. Once upon a time my computer and 360 would co-operate. Those were good times.

I don't find myself playing my own music in many games. Only racing games. Even then it's rare.

I only really listen to music while playing a game if it's either and (MMO)RPG or RTS. It's basically just whatever I'm listening to at the moment or if I'm feeling awesome I put on some metal and build loads and loads of tanks.

i pretty much always have music going on in the background whilst gaming, unless the audio is vital in the game or the story is interesting, in which case i either wont have music, or just at low volume, but for some reason i do find it a lot easier to play games with music, never known why really

I listen to music when playing shooters, I find I play better. I usually listen to Skinless, Beneath the Massacre, August Burns Red, Whitechapel, or I Declare War while gaming. The heavier the better. It helps me concentrate.

I'll often play Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed, or Atreyu when playing racing games, especially Forza 2.

Any dramatic rock music is great for pretty much any game, unless it's a peaceful part in an RPG. Then, I let the in-game music take over.

I really only listen whenever i'm playing online. When i'm playing single-player, i like to listen to what the characters say and the gameplay sounds.

I use my own ihome, and not the xbox music player because changing a song in-game is tedious and time consuming. Listening to music while i play has come to bite me in the butt more than once though, especially during search and destroy on call of duty because either i'm distracted by the music or it's too loud and i end up dying or doing something stupid that gets me killed.

HELL YES!!

For that matter. Try playing "Black dog" on a FPS or "When the levees break" on an rpg like fable but just when your wandering around. it brings a whole new feel to the game.

Any game that I realized I wasted money on automatically gets the Rolling Stones, Rush, or Journey. If I have to play a bad game, I can at least enjoy the music while I try and get my money's worth.
