Metallica is one. They were the band who got me into good music.

I also rediscovered Breaking Benjamin, and how bad of taste I had when I was younger. (No offense to Breaking Benjamin fans.)
Metallica? Good music? That's funny.
Say what you will. It's not like I'm saying ReLoad was a musical masterpiece or St. Anger was decent. Really, the two albums I consider great are... The two albums usually considered great: ...And Justice for All and The Black Album.
Justice and the self titled albums?!? Are you a 'tard? Master of Puppets owns most anything in metal. The Black album got a lot of people into Metallica, but it's the very definition of selling out. Everything pre-Black album is so much better.
Ease up, he was fair about opinions; so should you.

I keep finding old music lying around my harddrive, listen to it, say: "Oh hey! I remember this!" Then I slap it on my mp3 player and listen to it a ton until I find something else in the same way.
I will do that too, or i will be at a friends house or my boys house(he listens to chick music and music i stopped listening to years ago more than i do)and hear a song and then realize i have it on cd and go get the cd and put it onto my hard drive so i can listen to it. Or I'll be randomly going through cds and tapes i have and find something to listen to.

I was listening to Pandora the other day and The Offspring came on. Suddenly I remembered how much I used to listen to them back in high school. I went right out picked up some of their stuff and I can't stop listening to it.

Has this ever happened to you?
Oh, yes!
I rediscovered my old Americana album when i was searching through my stuff. Good music, good times. I also found Spaceman by babylon zoo, so quintessentially ninties.

A friend of mine had a spare ticket to Reel Big Fish. One of the best decisions I ever made.

Sorry. He just ignored Master of Puppets, the definitive thrash album of the 80s while making the claim that the only two albums considered great are Justice and the Black album, which pushed my berserk button. Most everyone who is into METAL considers everything pre-Black album great, while the Black album is a good ROCK record. Most people consider Load/Reload pretty bland, though there are of course a few good songs to be found. We just won't talk about St. Anger.

The Brotherhood of Dae Han... Used to frequently listen to them, but lost them when I had some music transfer issues...
