So, I was driving home earlier today and one of my favorite tracks came on. Then I started to think "What would make this even better?"
Thus, I came up with a musical roller coaster. There would be a set up on the ride where headphones would be mounted on each seat and during the ride, it would play music. Before I give a couple examples that I came up with, I want to ask you guys what do you think? Good idea? Bad idea? Have any versions you'd like to see yourself?
(The average roller coaster goes for about 2 minutes to give a time frame. The longest I've heard one go for is 5 minutes.)
You can also simply add music to an existing ride. Just give us an idea of what it is.

Well, here goes:
The music starts at the top of the hill right before the train begins to descend.
From 5 seconds to 10 seconds: you enter a tunnel as you climb back up a bit.
10 - 20 seconds: you leave the tunnel and go in for another drop.
20 - 30 seconds: drop, ascend, then corkscrew.
30 - 35 seconds: drop into a loop.
35 - End A few dips before returning to station.
Music start as the train begins to climb the first hill.
At 42 - 50 seconds: the train goes down the first hill.
50 - 55: train goes into a loop
55 - 60: train ascends
60 - 75: train does a series of bending corkscrews.
75 - End: a couple sharp turns and dips before returning to station.

Musical Rollercoasters actually exist pretty much, but with small speakers close to your ears rather than headphones. I went on one at a theme park (Islands of Adventure I think...) in Florida earlier this year, you get to choose out of a selection of tracks what you want to listen to from a touchscreen.

There's also the Disney World Rock 'n' Roller Coaster [http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/parks/hollywood-studios/attractions/rock-n-roller-coaster-starring-aerosmith/] /w Aerosmith's Sweet Emotion.

And here I was thinking I was actually being clever. XD
Nah, OP. Something like your idea would work perfectly. It'll just the music choice that needs to be polished.

I think I know of the perfect music to go with a rollercoaster.

I think it matches the thrill and intensity of a rollercoaster perfectly.

Quite.

I'd go on that roller coaster. Though I would be curious to see what kind of coaster this would be matched with.

The answer is all of them.

Fair enough.

Ride all the rides!
