And my beloved Acoustic. Inherited, I think it's an early 20th/late 19th century remake of a much older violin. It's got "Nicolaus Amatus fecit in Cremona 1685" on the inside, but I really doubt it's that old.
Labyrinth, I think it should be forbidden for you to show that absolutely sublime purple electric violin on the Escapist anymore.....It makes me think of my lack of electric cello..............

My amp isn't worth showing, it's a cruddy little Behringer practice bass amp. Nothing special about it. When I was buying my bass I spent almost all my budget on the guitar, got the amp because it was cheap.
Whenever I finally get around to taking electric guitar lessons (Which at the moment I'm too damn busy for) I'll probably be getting one of these as a relatively cheap starter guitar.

You may have a purple violin, but I've got a red cello. As I've stated in other threads, it's a baby cello that's only a year and a half old.
..............And my absolutely wonderful bow from Paris.....Quite a bit older than the cello.....
i actually have a few string quartet peices written that i've never heard live. im thinking i might find two more string players and make you suckers play it
Well. . .alot of guitar players here 'eh? But this thread isn't just about that so I'm going to come out and say I play the tuba and I'm not too bad if I do say so myself.
I've only done some vocal arranging for a college a cappella group - and man, is it tough. I've forgotten everything I ever learned about music theory, so having to come up with harmony parts by listening to them one by one and adjusting the chords that seem out of place takes forever. Not to mention that I have unrealistic expectations for singers 
As far as software goes, Sibelius is pimpin' but I am actually faster with Noteworthy Composer, awful as it is.

oh man, i love a cappella stuff. I too have tried arranging. a tip i use? find midi files of the songs you want and open them up in Finale (which incidentally i swear by). Hurray! I'm not the only brass player here. My instrument (weapon?) of choice is the euphonium, which is basically a smaller version of a tuba with a higher pitch.mydogisblue said:
