i have said it before and I will say it again. The epiphone dot is the best guitar under (au)$1300 you will ever find. they sound almost EXACTLY like a 335, and are a third of the costTheGhostOfSin said:My current guitar and amp arn't worth showing.
But on the 25th and I'll have myself a <url=http://www.dawsons.co.uk/acatalog/00044781.jpg>Epiphone Dot ES-335 Semi-Acoustic Electric Guitar in Cherry.

Funky view of my electric. Yes, those are holes in it.

This is so you can actually see the colour.

And my beloved Acoustic. Inherited, I think it's an early 20th/late 19th century remake of a much older violin. It's got "Nicolaus Amatus fecit in Cremona 1685" on the inside, but I really doubt it's that old.
Heh. Lennon's fine too. No need to get territorial. I would, however, like you to read this excerpt from Allmusic.com:jezz8me said:WWJD is more what you should be asking. Not jesus though. John as in Lenon.TheGhostOfSin said:Get old and disappear?roblikestoskate said:What Would Bowie Do

Labyrinth, I think it should be forbidden for you to show that absolutely sublime purple electric violin on the Escapist anymore.....It makes me think of my lack of electric cello..............
That's very cool, though, the picture of your acoustic violin. You know what this means, however.....Don't you?
You may have a purple violin, but I've got a red cello. As I've stated in other threads, it's a baby cello that's only a year and a half old.![]()
..............And my absolutely wonderful bow from Paris.....Quite a bit older than the cello.....![]()
Tubas kick ass. they hit low notes like nothing else. I tip my awesome hat to youmydogisblue said:Well. . .alot of guitar players here 'eh? But this thread isn't just about that so I'm going to come out and say I play the tuba and I'm not too bad if I do say so myself.
oh man, i love a cappella stuff. I too have tried arranging. a tip i use? find midi files of the songs you want and open them up in Finale (which incidentally i swear by). It will let you see what chords need to be made where, as well as a clear and defined vocal harmony. from there aranging is easierRobyrt said:I've only done some vocal arranging for a college a cappella group - and man, is it tough. I've forgotten everything I ever learned about music theory, so having to come up with harmony parts by listening to them one by one and adjusting the chords that seem out of place takes forever. Not to mention that I have unrealistic expectations for singers
As far as software goes, Sibelius is pimpin' but I am actually faster with Noteworthy Composer, awful as it is.
That's some win equipment you have there. What this means? Why, we must play Metal together.Jamanticus said:Labyrinth, I think it should be forbidden for you to show that absolutely sublime purple electric violin on the Escapist anymore.....It makes me think of my lack of electric cello..............

Hurray! I'm not the only brass player here. My instrument (weapon?) of choice is the euphonium, which is basically a smaller version of a tuba with a higher pitch.mydogisblue said:Well. . .alot of guitar players here 'eh?
