I remember that that once happened to me during a WWII history lesson. I couldn't hold my self and started laughing. Unfortunately, my teacher did not believe me when I told her that I wasn't laughing at WWII and got angry as hell, started yelling and stuff like that.

I work at a grocery store too and my brother works there too and so we sometimes work together, and I am friends with all the other workers (this is a summer job and I am 19) and we often tell jokes and funny stories and just stand there laughing in front of everyone, it raises a good mood in the store when when people think positive/happy/funny things and show it.

Oddly, I find it Very easy to stop myself from laughing. I only laugh when I REALLY want to, which is very often.

Yes.
It was out of an anime I had seen somewhere and I was currently on the bus.
Although the strangled choking noises were probably more embarrassing than unprovoked laughter.
Another incident was in an actual movie theater, where one scene reminded me of another and as one of the (partially) main characters was dying it was all I could do to keep it down to a low chuckle.

I always laugh to myself, I don't even try and hide it and my friends are pretty much used to it by now. I usually can't remember why I'm laughing as soon as someone talks to me because I was kind of daydreaming and it's gone when I'm back to reality.

Any time I remember this joke:

What's the difference between Harriet Tubman and the Red Hot Chili Peppers?
Harriet Tubman was a heroine to slaves, the Red Hot Chili Peppers are slaves to heroin!

I've remembered that in train stations, while ordering food, and in long lines. For some reason it never stops being funny.

I usually watch things like Whose Line extracts just before going to work in the morning, so then I get there and all I can think of is:

'TEACH ME HOW TO SING LIKE YOU!'
'A tern? An Arctic Tern?'

You get the picture. It's maddeningly hard to keep a straight face and not look like I'm just randomly laughing (which I of course am)

If I think of something funny I'll laugh, no matter where, but how loud the laugh is may vary from place to place

This happens a lot to me. I usually play it off as a cough. This image was the most recent thing that made me "cough":

I have forgot what he said, but the priest at my Grangfather's funeral quoted something from Dogma and I burst out laughing. It was the most uncomfortable experience of my life.

I listen to podcasts whilst riding on the bus. They tend to be of a humourous nature, and naturally I laugh. Screw you, Scottish public transport, watch me laugh and envy me!

Yeah, I always do that, but I never stop myself from laughing.

I don't care what people think, if I think of something funny, I'm gonna laugh.

I don't give a shit if people think it's stupid to laugh in public.

I don't really care if I randomly laugh in public... People tend to think I'm insane/on drugs anyway...

The only time I try to hold back laughter is when something bad happens (Someone/something dies or what not) yes I'm aware laughing in those circumstances is disturbing...

I have a problem with occassionally finding great humor in peoples descriptions of their personal tragedies. You know, stuff like how your dad just died by getting pulled into a cotton candy machine.

I used to work with a lady who has gone through four husbands and each died pretty horribly (severed own artery with chainsaw, touched high tension power line at work, hit by diesel rig and scerosis of the liver) and it was hard not to laugh and ask her if she would please marry a few different guys I hate.

Am I sick in the head?
I doubt it. But I'd no doubt want to have those deaths investigated. She may be what I would call a black widow.

Yes, this happens to me too. But I have HORRIBLE luck with. Mainly because I cannot hold it back. For example, once I was at the funeral of my aunt, who died from breast cancer, so there was the priest, talkig, when out of nowhere, I get this insatiable urge to laugh. So there everyone else is, heads bowed down, listening respectfully, while I'm there sitting down, looking like my cheeks were pumped full of pressurised air, trying desperately, but failing, to not make a sound. It was VERY uncomfortable.

There's also the time in history class, when the same thing happened, except, thankfully, why teacher asked if I wanted to say something. I denied it a first, naturally, but it was when she asked again that I burst out laughing, for a solid five minutes straight. Eventually though, I stopped laughing, straightened myself up, cleared my throat, and cooly said "Continue." (like neil from shaun of the dead).

Ooh and also, in art, I was sitting on a table with three or four others, among them my friend jago, who is well known for being able to make me laugh whatever the situation, and our art teacher had come in to watch us (we had a substitute all year) and as she went around, jago whispered to me: (Hey... hey Cameron... you can see her bra). She the instantly swung around and asked "CAN YOU?". Then proceeded to thank him and and say tell me if it happens again. Cue 10 seconds of everyone on the table looking at each other dumbly, then bursting into laughter spanning a healthy ten minutes.

So earlier today at work I was thinking about some scenes from films as it helps pass the time, I started thinking of a scene from the film Anchorman and nearly started laughing to myself. As I work in a supermarket and lots of people were around I was really trying not to burst out laughing in the middle of the shop floor and look like a total douche in front of loads of customers.
I'd just like to thank you.

I came on to this thread 30 minutes ago, and got as far as "Anchorman" before looking for clips of it on Youtube until now.

Anyway, I always thing of funny things when I'm walking down the street and have to stop myself laughing. Normally it ends in a rather peculiar looking smile before I can fully stifle it.
