Must play DS games?

So I picked up a DS for five Canadian dollars from some guy I had never met at my college, it was must likely stolen but I bought it anyway.

It seems to work fine but I don't have any games. Are there any must have games I should pick up?




Or if you simply want to give me shit for buying something that was obviously stolen heres the place to do it.

Pokemon: Heartgold/Soulsilver.

The games are awesome remakes of the original Pokemon: Gold/Silver/Crystal.
I don't own a DS or a copy of the game (sadly), but I have borrowed the game and a DS from a friend of mine some time ago and after playing it for several monts I have to say that it is AWESOME! A Must Buy!

What kind of games do you like?

Asking random people on the internet to attempt to guess my opinion on games I haven't played yet, based on a sentence or two always seems like pointless endeavor to me. Just recommend a handful of your own personal favourites.


(PS. I know you already included a whole list of recommendations, and thank you for that. I am just answering this question because it probably pop it a few more times.)

So how did this happen? Was he standing on a corner of your campus dorm, then he opened up his jacket and revealed a plethora of consumer electronics? "Hey, man. Hungry? Try out this toaster! Dark in your room? Check out this lamp! Need something to distract yourself with in class? Take a gander at this DS! Only five dollars!"

As for games...
I only ever got a few for mine. Okamiden, one of the Pokemons (Black, maybe? I don't remember. It was my first one and I wasn't crazy about it), Phoenix Wright, and...Devil Survivor. Okamiden was good. Phoenix Wright was fantastic. I've still only played about 20 minutes of Devil Survivor.

Actually thats about right lol, just replace toasters and lamps with cellphones and ipods

Fire Emblem (the GBA ones were better but Shadow Dragon isn't awful) and Pokemon (any and all).

Pretty much all the DS Castlevania games are excellent. Order of Ecclesia is probably the best of em but the others are all definitely worth playing as well.

The DS Advance Wars games are also really good. I prefer Advance Wars: Dual Strike myself but Days of Ruin ain't bad either. Both great games and a ton of fun.

It's not really pointless, if you said you liked a genre I could give more games that I think would interest you in it. They're not the best of the best, but they're still good and worth playing if you like that kind of game. Also if you despise a genre I could avoid giving pointless recommendations.
