MW2 Free weekend?

So I get home after school and first thing I do is turn my computer on and boot up steam. I don't really remember why, but I went to my account history and looked at all my purchases. And I saw this

"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Free Weekend - April 2010 (ROW) - Complimentary"

Yet, I hadn't seen it been advertised by steam. I was not aware this had happened or that it will happen. I did some research and saw that there's a free weekend coming up that allows xbox live silver members with mw2 to play online, but you really can't do that on PC. You can't own the PC version and not be able to play it online (provided you have a decent internet connection) . Are they going to let us PC gamers have a free weekend like Valve does for TF2?

Or am I an idiot and missed it? (which wouldn't suprise me XD)

It seems you've missed it or Infinity Ward decided not to do that special event for PC users...well not yet at least

The only thing i remember IW doing is they gave everyone who bought the Stimulus Package on day one a free week of live. Thanx IW ^_^

Check your steamapps/common/ folder, it appears to be downloading without giving notification until it's done at the moment. Guessing that will be fixed soon.

Ah, thanks. Anyone know how big it's meant to be when it hits 100%? Got 3.86gb atm.
