We have Spec-Ops, Multiplayer, and the Main Campaign in MW2. You know what there needs to be? A horde/firefight gametype. I call it Invasion.
Here's what Invasion is: You and four people, (matchmaking or friends) use your perks, unlocks, and skill to fend off against waves of computer controlled enemies which progress in difficulty. Sounds familiar, yes. Now, here's where it gets interesting.
There are no lives. If you're dead, you're dead for the whole game. BUT you can call your wingman a' la Spec-Ops.
Plus, there are team streaks where players are awarded air drops which house the main kill streaks (with the exception of the nuke). HOWEVER the other team can pick up the Team-streaks as well, so you have to have a bunch of guys defending your killstreaks while fending off the horde of enemies.
There are unlimited resupplies at the start. But as difficulty rises, there is a limit set on resupplies, so it's a case of having to resupply when it is urgently needed.
You start the game at normal, but after 10 waves, it goes up to hardened and then 10 waves later, veteran. After veteran, it gets EXTREMELY difficult, so you have to keep alert if you want to survive.
Oh and there are Juggernauts, and as it increases in difficulty, more of them spawn, and the faster and tougher they are after each wave. (thankfully they come around at Hardened to make you familiar with them.
Best of all, you get XP if you work as a team. So it encourages co-operation.
What do you think? And what do you think could improve this idea?
