First may i say that this shall hopefully be the last of the never ending useless Call of duty threads.

Atleast this one has some purpose and a decent thought.
Onto the question that i've searched vigourously for the answer.

I have not yet played MW2 to let it out right now. But after watching a few reviews I noticed that none of them pointed out the "50 points per kill" thing that kept on happening. As we all remember the original was 10 points per kill.

My simple question is that is the "50 points per kill" for all game modes ?
Does it make it longer of faster to level up ?
and does it make a differance ?

Thank you.

Faster to level up. You get bonus points for avenging a team-mate, having revenge on the guy that killed you last, killing someone when they're 1 kill away from a streak, headshots, long-range shots, assisting suicide shots, killing someone who is on a streak, etc.

Some game-modes give you 100 points per kill.

Keep in mind there is 70 levels, and then you can prestige.

I'm unsure, I've only played 2-3 game modes, and i get 50 pr. kill, but theres also bonus xp to be earned for headshots and long distance kills.

Thanks for that.

Everything has a 0 added to the end, Ground war games now require 10,000 points instead of 1000
Team Deathmatch games now need 7500 instead of 750
Simple as that

Took the words from my mouth.

CoD4's Score System, x10 and with challenges for damn near everything other than standing still. Unless you do it for a while, in which case, it is a challenge.

Cod:MW2 give you 100 points per kill in TDM. Also it takes about 2 Million XP to prestiege.

Along with higher point rewards, many of the requirements have been bumped up as well. I'm assuming this point buff was used to cope with the fact that you receive points for damn near everything you can do.

I'm pretty sure that they just add a zero to everything you have to do from the first MW.

For example: In Cod4, you had to get 30 points to get from level 1 to 2.

In Modern Warfare 2, you have to get 300.

There are alot of extra bonuses though like headshots, buzzkills (kill an enemy short of a killstreak), and things like that. So I guess you'll level up faster.

I've only played MW2 online for about 3 or 4 hours (free-for-all) and I'm at level 20 or so.

After 24 hours of playing MW I was only at level 30.

So it's a lot easier to level up.
