MW2 - why are people STILL playing?

People play it for the same reason why I stopped playing it: the multiplayer is simplistic enough that any idiot can get a nuke. It has pretentions to realism, but it's mostly a lie.

Most of all, people play it because it's popular. With no dedicated servers, etc., I'm surprised it lasted this long, but hey sometimes people need mindless fun.

Frankly, I don't get the people who play it constantly, it's not THAT fun, it's just mindless. Whatever, to each their own, I suppose.

I know... and it looks 100 times better than MW2... no commando, no nuke, no stopping power and jugg, no stacking killstreaks, no shotgun secondaries, no danger close, guns have recoil.... drool.

dedicated servers! you are forgetting about them dedicated servers. everything else in mw2 i could have possibly swallowed, every other abuse i would have taken...but this was too much^^

Yeah I heard Treyarch are doing dedis for Black Ops but I think there was some kind of catch, can't remember what it was.

the catch being that they will not release the server code. so it's gonna be pretty much like bad company 2: online dedicated servers no problem, lan - no. i get why developers hate lan, but do they have to be such dicks about it?^^
