MW3 Thoughts

I will rent or borrow it to play through the campaign; Infinity Ward has always turned out exciting campaigns with fantastic storytelling (even if the story itself is usually not too notable). Call of Duty multiplayer is okay, but I'm not a huge fan of each encounter going to whoever saw the other guy first and spawned with the better gun, so I won't bother. So yeah, I'll play through the campaign, but then leave it alone, so no buying it for me.

I'll get it in a bit over a month, once my winter break starts. Too many papers and exams to focus on and sadly I get a little too intense when playing these kinds of games, so I know I shouldn't buy it until I can focus my full attention on it. Batman Arkham City will keep me well entertained until then.
I got rid of my xboxlive, and im probably not going to get MW3 until it drops to 30$ or less.
From what ive seen and heard, its MW2 with a facelift. Juggernaut is supposedly really annoying, and quickscoping is easier then ever. Camping is an even bigger problem then before with the way the perks are laid out. So far, i havent heard differently.
There are only 2 games im pumped for this year. Skyrim and SR3.
Dont get me wrong, ive always been a CoD player. Ive owned them all. But its going to be more of the same, and i know what to expect. And i dont want that headache right now >.>;

Im sure MW3 will be a good game, but its just not going to be my cup of tea. I enjoyed Blops more then MW2, and everyones saying, "Its MW2, but better."
I'm not getting it until Christmas, when the patches by then are gonna fix some balancing issues that are sure to be there. Is the Hardened Edition launch only?
I might get it in a while. Usually CoD games are day one launches for me, but with Skyrim coming out and having just bought Battlefield 3 (which I'm still on the fence about, Most of my dislike for that game is how they started a name calling game with the CoD series) I know my limits when it comes to spending money on video games.
Are you a pre-existing fan of the CoD games or is this one of those surprisingly good campaigns?distortedreality said:
