My 360 broke Mewtwo.

I was playing Mewtwo (Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2) and suddenly the game froze. I took out the disk wondering if it had a smudge o it since i bought it just a few days back and it cost 102 US dollars. When looking at the disk I noticed a giant scratch that went all around the disks outer rim. Now I'm wondering has this or something like it ever happened to you and who the fu** am I supposed to kill, blackmail or have a serious discusion with to have this problem fixed and get my hundred dollars back?

Did you move the 360 while the game was running? Something similar happened to my friends Fallout 3 disc,a ring around the outer rim of the disc, luckily JB hifi doesn't check the games condition if you trade it in.

Perhaps you moved the console while the disc was inside. It's well documented that 360s will devour a disk at the slightest provocation.

no that happened with my BFME 2 disc (luckily not a better game) but this time it wasn't moved...at all.

I would rcomend going to somewhere like blockbuster to get it resurfaced though, if you find you cant return it.

Donn't try toothpaste or whatever *just* yet, as home remedies tend to not work. I say that you take it to a game store and have them fix it for you, if they offer such a service. The GAME near me fixed my broken GTAIV, CoD4 and Saints Row 2. And they were scratched to disc hell and back.

Good point, Mewtwo is longer to write than MW2.

Mine did the same to my copy of GTA: IV.
Only advice I can give is to find a shop that will repair it.

That's cuz MW2 is harder to pronounce.

You can also try finding a GameDR kit (do those still exist?), it comes with a resurfacing fluid that repairs the scratches on your discs.

That happened to my me with a copy of Forza 2 when I stupidly moved the console while playing it.

My mate however fucked about 3 or 4 games when his Xbox was standing up. Since having it laying flat he's not had the same issue.

Was your xbox vertical? If so that's probably whats wrong.
