My adventures on XBLA

Well, the title is slightly misleading. I played two games today.

Firstly, Sonic 4 demo. I see what everyone is talking about when they complain about the physics. It's good, but not good enough for my money. Sonic has never had to "speed up" that much, so it feels like you're walking through treacle.

Secondly, SUPER MEAT BOY!!!!

Ok, so anyone who has seen my posts lately will know I was super excited for this release anyway (I was fairly excited about Sonic too, that said) and I'm not disappointed. I'm in the Hell world now, but have switched it off for fear of getting too pissed off.

Can't wait to unlock more characters and can't wait to play more and more of the levels, and then all the dark world ones.

Anyone else been playing any XBLA games?

oooooo! I got really into Scott Pilgrim vs The World with a few friends of mine. We played that games for almost 6 hours once. So fun to play that with multiple people, and the chip tune music is awesome!

Also played through Shank. I was kinda disappointed with how short it was, but the different weapons and the awesome action was really cool.

Saw a friend play through parts of Limbo. That game is so dark and creepy sometimes. Those spiders especially creep my out.

I recently bought Sonic Adventure DX and Comic Jumper.
Completed everything but two achievements on comic jumper, but getting all 130 emblems on sonic adventure is a long and annoying task.

I played my free copy of Dead Space Ignition and while I thought the puzzles were clever and fun there wasn't enough variation to keep it fresh. Though at 0msp I can't really complain.

Also been trying out Sonic 4 and I love Sonic but it does feel a bit off... I'll probably get it eventually though.

I am very excited about the Dreamcast and old classic ports...

Monday Night Combat is good, will get better once they update and fix some exploits.


Comic Jumper was pretty good as well.

I was playing Monday Night Combat, but the devs are dicks and see criticism as trolling. Funny how they soured me on a game faster than the community itself could.

Plants Vs Zombies is awesome, though.

Not recently, but I played the shit out of Castle Crashers with some friends. Also planning on getting Hydrophobia soon.
