Its as the title says, my Battle.net's ID got hacked, and I really don't know what to do. I was sitting on Friday talking to a few friends on MSN when suddenly I got a email from battle.net saying I changed my password

"Silly battle.net" I said not seeing what was going on "No I didn't" so I politely excused myself from my conversations went to log in on starcraft II and I found out my password was wrong...

So then I panic-ed got back on my MSN changed that password (because the email that said I changed my password was deleted so I needed to change my email and MSN password before those were lost too)

And now I ask, what should I do? When I was setting up my battle.net I wasn't taking any of the safty precautions seriously, I don't remember my security question, and some of the info for mailing address and such was bogus, because I didn't want my real info out there....

So what do I do? I still have the game box and game code can I call their tech support and get it back??? Or is there another way.... Or is there a hacker in the audience that is willing to take a crack at getting my battle.nets ID back XD

When you attempt to recover your password on Battle.Net, it should tell you your security question and just ask for the answer. That's how I recovered mine.

And yes, there is a tech support. You should be able to submit a webform or call them up to talk to them.

Also, update your copy of Adobe Flash. This happened to me about three weeks ago and from what me and my friends gathered, it was due to me having an old version of Flash with an exploit which hackers were using to scavenge WoW accounts to bot with.

Blizzard are generally good (if slow) with recovering hacked accounts. Hope it all works out for you.

Can you ask for advice on the official forums or send and email to the tech support? Also, never ever forget your password information. One day it could get you into real trouble.

Wait wait, how can I ask for my answer? I always go to forgot password and it just gives me the security question...

Blizzard has an extensive account recovery program for idiots like you who lose their account. They even say in their FAQ that over 90% of "hacked accounts" are just from password guessing.

If you have a credit card saved to your Battle.net account, or have uncompromised your email, you should be fine in emailing them to set things right. If your email is now completely safe, you should just be able to hit "I forgot my password" and get a new one.

I don't think you can. You should have probably set your Secret Question to something memorable like I did. First pet, mother's maiden name, first school, first marriage, second marriage, third marriage etc.

You don't. You cannot "ask" for your secret answer. Once you forget it it's just that, forgotten. Blizzard does not change nor give out that answer. You might have a shot at recovering it if you call them but the waiting lines are huge.

Just ask Steam Blizzard support. They should come back to you in 3 to 5 business days however long Blizzard takes (shouldn't be that long). Until then, pray you don't get VAC banned Blizzard banned.
