Okay, one of my cats seems to find the moulded plastic of the Xbox 360... tasty.

Every time he gets near the thing, he walks up to it and starts licking it. He keeps licking all over it for several minutes at a stretch, and then he starts to gum the base of the cables (I'd worry about his chewing on power cables, but he's old and lost most of his teeth so he can't really do any damage), then he waddles over (did I mention he weighs 20 pounds?), and starts biting the rim of the cardboard box that the thing came in.

So, any theories as to why he finds a game console so tasty?

Umm, that's not so insane.

My cat brought us this morning someone's pet rabbit...dead.

Feed the cat. Love it. Or, get him a 360 just for him to lick and chew.

Also, why the hell is this in the gaming section?

He eats plenty, believe me. I can barely lift him anymore. Besides, why is it only the Xbox 360 and not any of the other consoles?

It's my OTHER cat that does that.

Because it involves a gaming console. Also, one time, he stepped on the controller's power button and actually turned it on.

But no, I think your cat sees the 360 as a source of great power. And must clean it as it is it's lord. You own a delusional cat.
A source of great power, huh? Well, that might have something to do with the fact that whenever I turn it on, he crowds around the heat vent to get warm from the heat output. It still doesn't explain why he finds moulded plastic tasty.

Your cats are insane. Okay.

This is different from all other felines ever...How, exactly?

I used to have a cat that helped me find out the Selphie Desperation Attack Glitch in FF8 by pawing at the eject disc button at the wrong time. For no reason at all.

Cats are insane. Simple as that.

Better than my pet rats who find any and all cables and power cords to be tasty and delicious. And unlike your cat, they have teeth in spades. There's nothing like being in the middle of a game and having my controller go dead in my hand, then looking down to see Dolly nonchalantly chewing her way through the cord.

Anything I can buy wireless, I do. All the power cables are sheathed in PVC tubing. Everything else just has to be patrolled.

My rats have only ever nibbled their way through the sheathing on regular power cords (low voltage? forget it, it's gone), so they stop at the copper. I used to know someone whose rat chomped his way into a primary power supply cable. Burned out his front teeth and all his whiskers. Both teeth and whiskers grew back.

Well my cat brought home a pheasant that was like twice it's size. And since it doesn't like the way dragonflies move, it kills them. My dead cat used to be the same. The skills get passed on to generation to generation. But all cats are crazy, don't dwell on it. my other dead cat used to knock over pop to watch the bubbles fizz on the carpet.

The animal's fault for not thinking, "Duh, what's what thing in my side? Duh, a cat! run!"
