After aphabetizing my already good sized 360 game library, I resovled to collect as many 360 games as I can. It wasn't as much of a random decision as it sounds.
Anyways, my collection's coming along nicely. It's even pushed me to hunt for a job--I probably would have started looking for one anyways--; my lacking of a job actually isn't that uncommon for all of those creepy enough to look at how old I am. I feel like I'm getting off topic.

So, my collection? Yes? No? "You're an idiot, and you'll never complete it"?
What do you think?

I think my question here is gonna be "why?"

I don't really understand why you would set out to have a collection of that particular nation. Don't get me wrong here, I enjoy collecting things, and I enjoy playing video games, but I'm not sure that I get collecting them.

If you have to get a job to pay for your collection, then I assume you're buying a sizable volume of games. How can you even have time to play them if that's the case? I only get the games I really want anymore, and I still don't have time to finish most of them. If you're working a job and buying multiple titles a week, then you'll just end up with a lot of unplayed games. And what fun is that.

It's not like it's realistic for you to think that you could have a complete collection either. Some kid with a part time job and a complete collection of every 360 game. I don't see it happening unless your parents are rich and spoil you.

So basically you'd have a collection in which you'd never be able to fully explore each piece of your collection, and you'd have a collection that'll never be complete.

If I were you, I'd go over what reasons you actually have for doing this, and think them through one more time.

Sorry, do i understand this correctly. You collect X-Box 360 games?
My first question would be why?
Do you get second hand ones cheap or do they all have to be new and wrapped?
I'll be honest, it seems like a really daft thing to collect. I mean, i've collected some odd things, i used to snap up every Mega-CD game i found, which was about 5. I currently collect Star Wars Lego, but they look nice on shelves.
So what exactly was your reasoning behind this decision?

Why does anyone collect anything?
For the fun of getting new stuff? The fun of finding an object you've been hunting?

As for why 360 games, I already had some. I'd be able to enjoy them as I collected them. Might as well start now while the valuable ones are reasonably priced, and the cheap ones are easier to find.

Also I noticed at least one person asked about the condition: I buy them in as good of condition as I can find them. My one cut off is that the box must be undamaged, include the original label, and not have any price tags on them.

So you collect X-Box 360 games for the enjoyment of buying an X-Box 360 game and for the fun of finding aforementioned X-Box 360 game? Not because of the content on the disc itself, not for artwork or anything else, irrespective of quality, simply because you want to buy something. Right?

You decided to collect them because you already had some. I mean, i have a lot of socks, i don't consider myself a 'sock collector' and i'm not going to start.

At what point do X-Box 360 games become valuable? I mean, they're still being produced, they're not made from anything valuable, their only real worth is the arrangement of 1s and 0s on the disc itself. I can't claim knowledge on the subject, but i can't think of any physical format PS3 games that are rare or valuable.
Well, maybe it's just me.

I collect games, too. It's a bad habit because I never get around to playing them, I'm also broke and have don't have a job, so I haven't been adding much lately. Here it is for anyone interested: backloggery.com/chaosyoshimage. I know, no one's interested...

Do what you enjoy if you can find a means to do it.

Who cares what other's think, they'd stab you in the back in an alley if it got them a better life.

I personally don't see the point in collecting every game for a specific console. I don't buy every game for a console just because I love the console (some people do). I buy games that I think I will like / sequels of games that I like.

1) Your comment just sent everybody here to go look at your age. Cookies, good sir/ma'am.

2) Can you complete a challenge with as open-ended a goal as "As many as I can?"

I generally only have a few games at a time *looks up at shelf* yup, right now I only have Deus Ex, Mortal Kombat, New Vegas, GoW3, Portal 2 and Dead Space 2. I tend to trade games in when I've finished unless they have a lot of replay value.

My book collection is quite admirable - and pretentious - though.
