To start off, my dad is a superhero. This story confirms it.
My dad's a teacher, and this happened while I was growing up. My dad was in the caf, on caf duty (where they wander around the caf and make sure ppl don't kill each other). Some sort of scuffle broke out, but was just as quickly stopped. However, people could tell that it would pick up again later. The school's response to this was to have teachers patrol the grounds after school.

After the last bell, my dad's walking around near the parking lot when, all of a sudden, a large group of students begin to run towards the field. Now, my dad knows that the only two things that can get high school students to run are violence and free food (Hey, you all know it's true), so he follows them.

As he gets there, he sees one kid, big guy, 6'4", carrying a field hockey stick (those knobbly fuckers) and running from the other guy. Suddenly, they both come to the conclusion that the big guy has a field hockey stick, why the fuck is he running? As he cocks his arms to swing, my dad sprints over and pushes the other kid out of the way. The stick guy registers his target's changed, and deflects his aim enough to hit him in the leg. Freaking out, he hits him again and starts running. This was his biggest mistake yet.

My dad is a short guy, but he's insanely fast and strong. He used to be a professional rugby player, and he still plays to this day. He recieved a university scholarship for wrestling, and was the captain of his university wrestling team, and its coach in later years. He's 56 now, and he can hold his own with much younger men on the rugby field. This was him in his early 40s.

You gotta feel sorry for the punk.

My dad chases him down and full on tackles him, pinning him flat for about half an hour until police get there. He ended up being expelled and charged with assault with a deadly weapon. This was while I was growing up, my dad had to go to court for a goodly amount of time.

So yeah, my dad's a superhero. I've got other stories like this (like the one where he beat up a flasher xD), just ask if you want me to tell.

The Flasher Story

So, first off, where I live. On my street, there are 4 schools. A Primary school, an elementary school, a catholic grade school and a high school. This is sort of the layout.

|--------------------|catholic|----|My house|----------|Primary|------------------------|High|
elementary

As you can see, my house is really close to the catholic school, just across the street and down a bit.

My dad leaves early, about 7:00, to get to his school. Now, my dad's getting ready to go, he's put his coat and lunchbag in the car, when he hears someone shouting "HEY, STOP!" or something of the sort across the street near the school. Being a superhero, my dad goes across the street to check it out. He sees someone in a coat running, and someone else near a group of little kids (grade 3, about). The guy near the kids looks up, "He just exposed himself to those kids!".

That's all he needed to hear.

He takes off (This is him in his 30s, right in his prime, this guy had no chance). He gets to him as he's getting in his car,

He reaches through the window as the guy starts burning away, and gets him by the tie. He actually manages to drag him out of the moving car as the guy's trying to drive away xD. He pulls him out and pins him till the cops get there, and he's arrested, so he's just sitting there on this guy in a trenchcoat, business suit from the waist up, nothing from the waist down xD.

That's not the best part, though. Years later, at a faculty party, he's talking to someone at his school (a newer teacher). They get onto the topic of his brother in law. According to the guy, he'd been arrested for 'some sort of bs about flashing'. They were discussing it, and said "Hold on a sec. Was his name *his name*?". The guy was amazed, "How'd you know??".

"I'm the one who caught him!"

Suffice it to say, it was an interesting next family reunion xD.

It would have been more awesome if, before he tackled the guy shouted, "Don't you know who I am? I'm the Juggernaut, *****!"

My next story is an amusing one.

At my dad's school one day, there was a lockdown. He was teaching in a portable at the time, and immediately grabbed as many students as possible from outside and sealed them all in the portable.

They were in there for about 10 minutes before the phone rang. It was the principal, telling him who they were looking for, in relation to a gun scare. He knew the kid, and said he'd be on the lookout for him. After he hung up, he was approached by a student he knew rather well. A bit of a troubled kid, but a good one.

"Sir, I think they're looking for me".

My dad reassured him that they weren't, and he knew who they were looking for. Another half hour passed before the kid approached him again.

"Sir, I think they're after me!"

Again, he reassured him that he knew the kid they were looking for, and it wasn't him. About three hours later, all the while the kid saying they were looking for him and my dad rebuffing him (He knew the kid they mentioned, and it wasn't him). Finally, the lockdown was called off. All the students filed out of the portable.

The kid walked out of the portable, took 5 steps and was immediately jumped on by about 10 police officers.

They'd given my dad the wrong name xD.

(NOTE: He was innocent, a teacher had heard a piece of conversation out of context and panicked)

It's great that you're proud of your dad but there is nothing for anyone else to discuss.
Please stop typing stories of you worshiping your father and give us something to talk about... like who our hero is or something.
Fair enough. Talk about how awesome YOUR dad is xD

People kept asking for stories of his dad on another thread, so I'm guessing that this is to keep everything neat and tidy.

My mom is awesome.
She has a fleet of 4-5 trucks at her business (Equine Veterinarian) and fixes horses all the time.

Every year she orders these HUGE boxes of candy (4 good sized ones) to give to teachers, clients, etc.

We get the leftovers.

Is your father Bill Brasky, by any chance?

Also, I think your dad totally set that kid up. He was just trying to settle him down and deflect it because he didn't want the kid to go on a rampage. It's a smart tactic and let the cops form their own plan.

I thought that it was wonderful he shared two positive stories about his father. This forum sees way too much negativity and such. There's no need for you to rain on his parade. I actually was having a grumpy day until I read that and I started to smile until I read your reply. If you felt there was nothing else to add, then don't post and let the thread drift away.
Negativity? Where? Seriously, where on earth do you see negativity in this forum and even when I do see topics that reflect sad times in peoples lives, hardships, bad romances, etc etc, it doesn't really affect me. I go to the Role Playing & Forum Games forum if I want to have fun, I come here to discuss topics that don't have much to do with Religion or Politics or Games.
I understand that he loves and respects his father, but this really isn't the right place to do this sort of stuff. Honestly, this stuff could make a great college essay, but I don't really care enough about his dad to really hear life stories about him that could easily be made up (Yes, I know they probably aren't, but the possibility is still there no matter what really. I've seen people who've gone and made up some really fucked up lies to gain sympathy or respect.)

Hmmm I got a story about my dad. It isn't heroic but it is amusing. Wall of text BEGIN

Basically my dad was new at school (Grade 10) and after a few weeks he met a girl and they began to start dating. He started getting wary glances from his friends whenever she was around, so he asked why.

Apparently she was the schools resident slut, and after hearing how many guys she had gone out with in such a short time my dad quickly ended the relationship. After this he made a passing comment about how her name mine as well be "Who's next?" This is when things got interesting. Apparently my dad's friends started telling people what he called her whenever she was brought up, and the name quickly spread.

Next week my dad is approached by a football player with who's next on his arm. he tells my dad to stop saying things about his girlfriend and if he didn't the football player was going to beat him up. My dad was a short guy at this time (about 5'2) while the football player was around 6 ft.

My dad just brushed it off, and the name continued to spread. Another week passes and my dad is approached by a guy he knows and is invited to hang out after at the soccer field. my dad goes there later and a group of people are there. My dad begins to talk with them when he is hit in the back of the head with a stick. My dad hits the ground and starts getting beaten by someone. He looks up and see's it is the boyfriend. After the dizziness of the first hit wares off, combined with the fact that the first hit was a suckerpunch and without the surprise the football player is actually pretty weak. My dad is able to get up and hits the guy square in the face breaking his nose. The guy runs away, as well as the group.

My dad calls the police when he gets home and the football player is expelled :)

No, they'd just given him the wrong name xD. He'd honestly thought it was a different kid they were after, the principal just buggered up xD.

And no, he's not bill brasky :p
