he's the best person in the world at making really bad or inappropriate jokes. also he's about as clever as me and equally moody and cynical.
also he got in a lot of trouble at his old school and they had to invent rules about "not climbing the buildings" and "not storing camping stoves in your locker" because of him.
and one time at uni, some guy lent him his room key while he was at home for the weekend and my dad covered every surface with grass. He then explained that it was a turf war (see what I mean about the bad jokes).

My dad is a gamer, a comic nerd, and a sci-fi geek all in one. It's safe to say he's the one who introduced me to Spiderman, Superman, Batman, Star Trek, Star Wars, and Doctor Who over the course of my 17 years of existence.
He's also got a dark, somewhat inappropriate sense of humor. He's also one of the best Christians I know. I know, that's an Oxymoron, but it's true.
He's also a special education teacher at Milwaukee Public School. Specifically, Hamilton High school (one of the worst schools around where I live, as far as student behavior goes). And he handles it like its nothing. This is where his humor comes in.
Example:
Kid: Bullsh*t!
Dad: Cows do too, but they don't brag about it!
Another example:
Kid: Mr P, you're stupid!
Dad: Well, that's why I'm teaching YOU.
But the most amazing thing is that he was abused as a child, yet he turned out to be the greatest Dad I know.

My dad is cool because he ran for president of his fire department's union using the slogan "If you vote for me- all your wildest dreams will come true." from Napoleon Dynamite. Oh, and the picture he used for his campaign could also be described as "lulzy". It was a picture of him as an Indian saying to vote for him as "Big Chief".
He inspires me to become better than him, as he is a Physician with plenty of training in other fields. I shit you not, he officially is more educated than 99% of the rest of the world. That's not a joke. He also is a great guy, so that helps. And he doesn't abuse me. Whoooo!
My dad is cool because he's the best at what he does, he can do anything you need done with horses on a farm.
Erm, my dad is cool because he didn't want me when he found out my mum was pregnant. Means i get my mum all to myself. Trouble is, i have siblings whom don't know me but i know them, they are only youngsters and my half sister is the almost the spitting image of what i was like at her age.
For the first time in my life my dad actually looked me in the eyes and spoke directly to me last year. It was creepy but good because in some way, he finally became a man and faced what he never could before, his first ever child now grown up and having a life of her own. Shame he is going to miss out on any distant future events such as my wedding day, his first grandchild e.t.c. Serves him right.

My dad is cool because he can fix anything and created formulas to solve really difficult math equations on my SAT practice test. The formulas were large and unwieldy and I never would be able to use them on a real test but they were cool anyway.
My dad is cool because he was absent from my life till I was seven years old, and before that had cheated on my mother with multiple women. he is also Sexist, a bit homophobic, occasionally racist, pig headed and self obsessed, condescending and selfish, buying about 3 laptops for himself and then telling me he cannot afford it when I ask him for one for college at Christmas.

My dad is cool because he brought me up to act like a gentleman as much as I can (even though I often throw that one out the window) and he's always always got the best advice.
My dad is cool 'cause he didn't fail his first ever song playthrough on Guitar Hero 3. Also 'cause he's ridiculously good with numbers.
The best thing is when he told me fairly recently that he'd do anything in his power to help get me out of this country, which is so huge a desire I can't even put it in words. He treats me like an adult and gives me my independance, which I'll forever be grateful for.

Hey! Thats surprisingly like my story... And you where born around about the time I was... Giant social experiment? My problem is I decided around age 7 that I wanted my father in my life (I was naive and didn't actually know what he was like) and now I can't bloody get rid of him.DemonicKitten said:
