Howdy Folks,
Just a heads up, though this is mostly intended for the STALKER Escapist group.
I will be away from the community for some time, as my mother has had her life support terminated today.
The story behind this is that she was in intensive care at the Royal Melbourne hospital, as she has been at the Royal Melbourne for over twenty days. She was flown up there after she came down with something bad, due to a low haemoglobin I called an ambulance for her and she was taken to the Albury Base Hospital. She was given a blood transfusion though as the Albury hospital does not have the technology to deal with her case (thanks to the Rudd Government, pricks), she was flown down to the Royal Melbourne Hospital. Twas discovered that she had cancer, though it was apparently easily curable through chemo with a high success rate. After treatment of chemo, her immune system was lowered greatly, as would be the case with anybody and such high doses of chemo. Unfortunately she caught another illness and then a fungal infection through her blood and her eyes, leaving her almost blind and in a horrible state. She was then sent to Intensive Care, in which she has been for some time. It was not the cancer that killed her, but the fungal infection, one of the biggest pandemics throughout hospitals all over the world. They terminated her life support just an hour ago or so.
Anyway, that's the reason I won't be around for a while and must deal with some family issues.
Toodles, chaps.
