while waiting for videos to load i have had free time to further inspect the socializing behaviors of the fruit flies that have colonized the dried residue of empty food containers scattered around my desk. they seem to congregate in groups of 5 to 10, as apposed to just being randomly spaced about the various surfaces. they also do not seem to crawl over one another or push each other around, rather they seem very indifferent to one another except for the infrequent rowdy chase around. they seem much more civilized than ants. i've also noticed that fruit flys have a wide ranging diet that is not restricted to just sugary foods, although they do not proliferate as extensively with nonsugary foods. i have yet to study their evasive panic mode tactics when i interrupt their grazing with a shake or prod. please feel free to add your observations to further my investigation of the fruit flys.

They're damned annoying and just love to invade my personal bubble... Did no one or nothing else get that seminar?!
