I just got finished watching 'The Legend of Zelda: The Animated Series' first episode and I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Still not too late to change your mind [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yYohAySKm4]

I now know why Link doesn't talk. Because he's an idiot. I'm going to have so many nightmares now.

Anyway, for discussion value, what do you think about video games being made into underfunded TV series? Do you know any that you liked, or do you want to send out assassins to any/every director that mentions making one.

EDIT: Changed to youtube video.

After what they did with the Zelda series, no.

I actually only know of the Zelda series, so I can't say anything about any others that may exist out there.

Honestly, because of the failure of E.T. on the Atari 2600 the entire movies\TV shows\video games relationship is completely cursed and may never, ever work.

Why...why did I not turn back when I had the chance. Sigh it just shouldn't be done. I guess games could be made into a sort of entertaining show, but I don't think games make the best shows. Most games are more about having fun with the gameplay, and enjoying the story, rather then just watching a really, really long cut scene. Personally I don't think I ever would watch a Legend of Zelda show, dosen't seem like a game that has enough for a TV series.

To think, I used hate missing this show as a kid. Back then (pre-internet) this was like a God send. You could compare it to getting extra game content... cept you couldn't play it and the stories where terrible and the animation sucked... but it was still the best we had.

I'll say it... you young whippersnappers don't know how good you have it.

Kid's shows and video games don't mix well...
The only time I can think of where it turned out was Reboot...
And it was awesome.

Though, ironically, that scene came out years before Guitar Hero. Go figure.

Pre-internet... What's that? Kidding, but I think the internet's always been around for me. When was it invented before 1995?

for those of use out side of America, care to explain it?
It's a Zelda cartoon series that aired in the 90's sometime (I think) I had a video of it at one point and I have to say it was actually ok, not brilliant but it was good.

Also, Excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse me Princess.

I think my ears bled when I first heard him say it. I was not prepared.

I changed it to Youtube. I didn't know Hulu didn't work outside the U.S.

this is something i've been meaning to say for awhile but Link actually does talk, he just doesn't have any lines put into text boxes, in Twilight Princess i remember him having to usually tell people his name, plus all the hyaahs and yaahs got to be coming from him, im pretty sure Navi or Midna ain't screaming for him.

As for the cartoon i learned form the NC to stay away from this shit along with the Mario Cartoon becuase they nothing like the game. Although there has been a recent outbreak of new Anime style shows of video games being made, i haven't watched any but apparently the halo ones good becuase they keep making them.

Does this call for the obligatory, "Well excuuuuuuuuuse me princess"?
"I wonder what Ganon's up to?!"

My friend bought the box set of the show at HMV or something and we watched it at a party once (I had only seen clips before, which was fine by me). God, it's hard to watch.
