Recently, I had recommended Minecraft to a firend, but when he got the demo, there was a problem:
he got thje 'bad video card' message.
Does anyone know a way to solve this? I sent him an update, but it didn't work.
His graphics card is Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family

Any help would be appreciated.

That card is a crappy notebook card with no RAM of its own (it steals from the system's RAM). Not many games (if any at all) can be playable with such cards, unfortunately. My notebook suffers from the same problem.

Many laptop/most netbook graphics cards are integrated in to the motherboard. If it's an Intel Mobile Chipset, then that's no go. Shit won't work with games.
