I did watch some but it was never a big thing over here so the whole "awesomeness" of the Power Rangers never occured to me as a child..
And yet, I do enjoy watching an episode every now and then.

Yeah, I found that out a few weeks ago when a friend and did some digging into the iterations of power rangers that never made it here to the states. I think our first season was like Japan's 14th. Still we had some fun finding out the current iteration of the series has the rangers cast as Space Pirates who have access to all the powers, weapons, and zords of every power ranger that came before them. We found the one poorly subbed first episode on YouTube and I gotta say despite the overt cheesyness to it; it still kicked some serious ass. Mostly because, well they're pirates now; the laws of physics dictate the universe collapse in on itself from the awesome.

I'm serious, take a look at what the uniforms look like.

Pirate rangers that sorta resemble pirates? Huh...I think there might be hope.
