So my headset for my PC broke.

I got off Newegg for 50% off, and had it for almost a year, and it was great (for $10). Alas, the candle that burns twice a bright, burns half as long. The sound only comes out of the left side, and I used to be able to get it to work by wiggling the wire, but now it doesn't work at all :(

So any escapists out there have a suggestion for a new headset?

Turtle Beach makes great headsets, and the Astro A40's are also pretty good.

This would help with the "I always seem to damage the wire" problem I seem to have....

I always buy cheap headsets at Best Buy so It doesn't really matter if they break.

Pop that sucker apart and fix it. It's really not as hard as it seems.

Sennheiser headphones are great. And they give you the two year guaranty you rightfully have on those things.

Man I can't even tell you how many headsets I've went through. I've seriously lost count on how many broken headsets I have. My closet is a junkyard of headsets.

Ya I had one really good pair, but they literally broke in half. I went out and got the exact same kind, wasn't paying attention when I stood up, and I ripped the wire in half, when it got tangled up in my feet.... since then I've had crap, until the one that just broke.

The only problem is they didn't last long so I'm looking for a headset that does.

I used to have one of those, fairly uncomfortable. Now I have one of these:

Very happy with it
