Toy Story started Pixar's career. That was seventeen years ago. Comparing the CGI and animation in it to Toy Story 3 is like a world of difference.

And in that time, I've watched computer tech soar, music undergo several phases and then converge into sameness, people I know and love change due to aging accidents or both.
I think I'm going to be one of the last of those who can remember life before computers were household appliances.

Sometime before that, cell phones were just house phones designed to be carried in suitcases.

Actually, they looked like house phones connected to a suitcase, and the suitcase was the battery, unless we have different ones in mind.

I remember when I was a kid, MS-DOS was the operating system on our computer at home, and to do anything on it, you had to write in commands yourself to open programs. Things have changed, for the better when it comes to computers. And to think all this change has happened in such a short time... I mean, I'm not old!

Wow, I thought that I was the only teenager that felt like he was 60 whenever I said "That used to a McDonald's" or "Where the hell did this sub-divison come from?"

OT: I remember getting scarred from watching Aliens with my dad. Now, I can take a lot of disturbing material that I couldn't when I was 7.

OT: Well, I guess in theory, looking back 2000 years in the past 2000 years from today will be somewhat easier and more revealing then looking back 2000 years into the past today is.
