I've got this idea for a game studio and I'm just wondering if fellow escapists would buy into this idea and the games if they were made.
The premise is this, a small game studio dedicated to making snes style games for iOS and PCs. They'd take all the oldschool RPGS and build them using similar styles and gameplay mechanics. Games like the early RPGS. Use that classic style and tell new stories with new characters. Make them longer, add modern features and release them for low prices. If they turn out successful, maybe bigger publishers would want them to create sequels or prequels to beloved RPGS like breath of fire, final fantasy and secret of mana.
I would absolutely love to play those classic games again. I know there are remakes out there of old games, like breath of death and such, but somehow those games just don't hit the mark the way I wish they did.
