No it's not Sitar Hero or KazooBand.
This is more of a guide game to help people play on the real guitar or bass (if they would actually try).
Have you ever wanted to play a guitar, got one, gave it a shot by staring at your hands as you fumble with the chords of a tab for that extremely ambitious song you just found, and left the guitar to rust and gather dust as you gave up do to not having the talent?
How about playing tabs, has that worked out? Go on the internet for sometimes flimsy things or pay more money for the real deal. And usually for only one band, so if you want a wide array of songs you might better be off finding the best tabs (which are hopefully copies of the book's) or using Guitar Pro(?[I hear that's good but I can't be dowloading things here; don't attack me for not doing this]).
Maybe you don't actually go through that (neither do I).
Anyway....
How about a rhythm game where you play tabs while hearing the rest of the instruments. You will connect your real guitar or bass to your system of choice and play the tabs as it scrolls to the left to show the uncoming notes and you must time it right.
Just like Guitar Hero but with numbers!
Gameplay: There will be two types, Score and Learning.
In Learning, the tab will go at your own pace, while you use the control to set the speed and when to pause and such. Yes you need a controller. In this setting you learn the songs that you might later play in Score. You can two play here (locally only).
Score is that thing with the numbers (that is not the tab itself) that you try to make bigger. In Score, you can play with another person (same instrument or no) online or local or just try to beat your and everyone else's score (which is number of notes hit and in a row, no such thing as Star Powah).
Configuring Guitars:
Aside from the regular configuring thing, you can use the game to tune your guitar. You can also change it between bass and 6-string, playing the highest note possible in configuration to let the game know what songs are possible.
That's basically it I can't add more or stay long because I should be practicing now so I'll get back here later. It's still in the brain stages, so what can't be done probably can't be done, this is a failed idea and I should stop dreaming (or keep dreaming?).
