I have NEVER had this problem unless I'm trying to play tf2 right after major update (ie. engie update), wherupon I flip my download area over to Singapore and carry on. Delete everything in your steam folder, aside from the Steam and Steamapps folders, and Steam.exe. Then run Steam and let it update. Works like a charm.Irridium said:Know what problems I have with Steam? Allow me to walk you through a day that happens more than it should.

Well thats just awesome for you. But this problem has persisted for over six years on multiple internet connections ranging from dial-up to DSL, and computers ranging from 5 year old laptops to top-of-the-line hardware. The Amazing Tea Alligator said:I have NEVER had this problem unless I'm trying to play tf2 right after major update (ie. engie update), wherupon I flip my download area over to Singapore and carry on.
