I wouldn't exactly one-up you by saying Substinance kept the romantic subplot, super-powered boss battles, and long-winded cenimatics with Anime-style scripts. So here's a flaw for you: It didn't have a mini-game for using each individual medical supliment.
That would have made healing too tedious; you need three items for a burn, four for a gunshot wound, and five for a bone fracture. Many reviewers have already stated that the healing system was close to tedious, that would've brought them right over the edge. Maybe for you, but for me, minigames were a no. Especially for MGS.

My one complaint with Megaman Legends is that in the original, you couldn't move while locking on to an enemy.

Combat in Assassin's Creed and AC2. I loved both of those games so much, and while the combat was hilarious - it was still awful!

Metal Gear Solid 4.

Kojima, what the fuck? Cutscenes don't need to be that long. All it is is Snake repeating everything everyone says.

Oh there's a Metal Gear being made? No way! I thought they were making a big Ben & Jerry's down the road. Oh wait, its called Metal Gear Solid 4! Of course there's another Metal Gear!!
ME4 is the worst in the series regarding the storytelling and immersion, imo. Like Kojima went retarded or something. It's the DB: GT od MGS, although it's a good game overall.

Anyway, my list. I don't think a perfect game exists. Well, actually, that's a fact, unless you're a fanboy. So here are some of my favorite games and what pissed me off.

Planescape: Torment - bugs, bugs, bugs, bugs, bugs, bugs and even more bugs. The combat also mostly sucked, but it's one hell of a game.

Deus Ex - the AI was heavenly retarded so the combat and stealth were often... Not nearly as good as the should've been.

SW: KOTOR series - bugs, bugs, bugs, bugs, bugs and more bugs.

Team Fortress 2: I am terrible at it.

Oblivion: Some of the A.I. was pretty stupid and the leveling up monsters is rather annoying

Dawn Of War 2: The Online multiplayer is a bit too fast pased, but good

Dragon Age Origins load times.

Bad Company 2 for having the stupidest cliffhanger ever.

, FF XIII is one of my favourite games and I haven't finished it yet. I love it too much.
I'm right there with you on that.

My one complaint about that would be Vanille. I hated her before it even came out.

I mean, what the fuck is up with her voice? It switches between being French, British and Italian yet its always high pitched and annoying.

Plus she always makes those weird squeaky noises in cutscenes. She is a pretty good fighter though since I could kick everyone's ass while playing as her.
Ah, as you may know, I like her voice.
It's weird, as I hated it when I started but it grew on me and it's sorta relaxing.
Agreed on the squeaks though. They're sort of annoying. And the accent is supposed to be Australian.
It is???

That's weird. I usually think Australian accents are sexy.

Well, I'm not that far into it, so maybe it will grow on me as it did you.

Mass Effect 2: It seems more like the planets aren't planets so much as cities. Seriously, you're told to look for someone, and you do that by heading into a local bar or something, and asking around until you get results. And it turns out, the person is always within walking distance of the port you landed in. Really though, it just ruins the sense of scale, and it could've been fixed by stating that a person is "somewhere in Newport on Omega" rather than "on Omega", and would've helped make the galaxy feel huge. It just seems like <url=http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Ptitleoa48fdbm?from=Main.ItsASmallWorldAfterAll>it's a small world after all.

Hence what I said in the post after that. Yes, I'm a sucker for interactivity; blame the fact that it's the one unique thing about the industry. Especially in games like MGS3 where realistic mechanics and diverse/complex gameplay are taken very seriously. I say save the conveniance of simplicity for platformers and other non-simulators.
I understand what you mean now, and totally agree with you. Then again, I think Heavy Rain is the game of the year, so I'd be a little stupid not to.

I've poured more hours into Halo 3 than any other game. My gripe would have to be the mediocre campaign. Couldn't it have been a bit more exciting like Halo 2 or the big openess of CE? Brutes being inferior enemies compared to the Elites didn't help either.

That in Psychonauts, you never go into Dr.Loboto's brain. On my first playthrough I was really looking forward to going into his brain and exploring but when it didn't happen, I felt kinda disappointed. That, and the meatcircus level. That level was hell.

I agree completely. That and the shooting controls. Haven't played Subsistence, though.

Subsistence is just Snake Eater with a 360 degree rotating camera, (plus the old one as an option) and two bonus discs. One has the original Metal Gears remastered, the other has a movie of the game.

Dead Rising. Walking around feels wonky like he's a big out of shape tank or soemthing.
Not the save system? That alone is the only reason why I've never replayed that game.
I actually didnt mind the save system becuase it helped the sense of dread I felt. It also made the game somewhat harder which was nice.

Plus, you could stash survivors in the bathroom and get them later.

that and Otis ONLY calling you when your neck deep in the living dead and then getting pissed off at you when you don;t answer his call. 'IM DOING MY BEST OTIS, JUST WAIT!!!!'
DEFINITELY. Otis was an idiot and him getting mad at me for not answering, like I have nothing better to do, made me want to murder him. I bet thats why they put the transmissionary achievement in there, so everybody didnt ignore him the whole time.

Mine would be the amazingly accurate shotguns in Fallout 3, you know when you're being shot from miles away, and when you get it, it's practically a pile of slag.
