What with all the naysayers complaining about how Skyrim "isn't epic enough" or "this could have been better", I thought I would make my own complaint thread.

My only complaint about Skyrim: Is that it didn't come out sooner.

Everything else is awesome. Even the glitches and bugs, which will get fixed. Bethesda has given us another chapter in the Elder Scrolls series and I welcome it in all it's glory, regardless of what others might think.

I love TES, and am thoroughly enjoying Skyrim. That is all. Have a very fine day.

Well, if it came out sooner then we'd have more bugs... so I've no complaints there.

My only complaint is that it didnt draw me in like Oblivion and Morrowind, just couldnt get involved in it which is a shame because I was kind of looking forward to this.

ON TO CONSTANTINOPLE!

It wasn't epic enough? People actually say that?

It baffles me that a game as huge and detailed as Skyrim could be seen as "not epic enough".
Everything from the games gigantic mountain ranges, to the randomised dragon encounters that animate and behave so well they could be mistaken as scripted events, to the HUGE graphical improvements and terrific sound design add together to make a game I would describe as being one of the most "epic" I've ever played.

Obviously others are entitled to their own opinions and views, but I'll never understand people that say the game isn't "epic" enough.

I just wish dragons were more dynamic and difficult instead of just spraying fire breath on me that does no damage.
Once they land, I then annihilate them without even using a potion.

Exactly. Even though I would have probably wanted it to come out much earlier, it would still have that unfinished feeling.

My only complaint about Skyrim?

I feel like they may have limited the whole leveling and character development too much.

I'm around level 26 right now, so I still have a lot to go, but the fact that you can only get special abilities with perk points, as opposed to getting them automatically once certain skills are high enough, and the fact that there are roughly 250 perks in the game and only 80 or so perk points available kinda makes me feel like there's no room for improving other skills once you get to a certain point.

For example, I chose to be a mage/archer-assassin type of guy, but recently I've discovered the awesomeness that can come about from smithing and armor wearing skills. So now I've got to try and spread my perks between Destruction, Restoration, Archery, Sneak, Smithing, Heavy/Light Armor, Enchanting and Blades.

I'm fairly sure I can get all or most of the perks in those trees by the time I hit the level cap, but I don't want to have to make a new character to try out some new skills (though I usually end up making a new character every so often anyways).

In Oblivion and Morrowind, you could grind any skill to master and gain the respective abilities, (granted, you wouldn't level up unless they were your major/minor skills).

I dunno, it's kind of a minor thing, but I always loved getting my characters to near god status and being able to face any opponent on any difficulty with barely any chance of failure. It always felt like a job well done.

I tried to get to Constantinople but I fell out of my plane and landed in Steelport.
