My Precious PS3 keeps beeping

People of The Escapist, I need your help!

My PS3 keeps shutting down and making the 3 beeps, what do I do in such a dire situation?.

Every time I try to chill out by pwning nubs on KillZone it craps out on me, what do I need to do negate the crapping of my PS3, any help is greatly appreciated.

Same thing happened to me. Sounds like your motherboard has more or less crapped out on you. It happened to me because I made the mistake of putting the vent of the sony right up against the wall, causing all the air to recycle and heat up within the system.

I bought myself a strong, healthy new 320gig model, which is honestly what you are better off doing. The time and frustration it takes to have it sent away and MAYBE fixed is just not worth the couple of hundred bucks you might save.

Get a bundle with some new games, its the best option.

Getting a new one is off the cards, my model was chosen by me... for having backwards compatibility and a shit hot blu ray player, I will not have a slim.

I guess its off to the Sony Farm for my PS3

I've been told it could be anything from A weak Wireless signal to a simple Over heating Problem But the PS3 I saw did that beeped 5 times, So it could be a simple Error warning.

The beeping is the PS3 simply saying that it likes you. It's happy that you're playing games on it and that you didn't trade it for a Xbox 360 or a Wii.
