My problem with "lost customers".

Ok, so after looking at the news on Steam about From Dust, I followed a couple of links to forums where I was met with people saying stuff along the lines of "Thanks Ubisoft, fuck off, I'm not a customer anymore."

From Dust is a game that was originally on Xbox 360, but received a PC port; Ubisoft handled it and, apparently, ballsed it up. Now, I'm fairly certain that capping a game with high graphical demands at 30 FPS is a bad thing, because it's what Ubi. did to FD on PC. There's a "One-time activation" DRM that annoys people. However, Ubi originally stated that there would be no DRM at all, and then that there would be and it would be like AC2, i.e. always-online. But that was tossed out the window and we come to the one-time activation, except it's not. It opens every time you start the game. There's also apparently little-to-no graphic/sound settings.

Am I mad at this? Hell no! I didn't buy the Xbox 360 version, and that makes me wonder how many people bought both. How do you know it's any better if you haven't played both versions of it? "Oh, the movement feels like it's more suited to dual analog sticks." So what? People claimed the precision wasn't good on Xbox 360, and if it's a port, you think mouse control will fix it? I don't own an Xbox 360, maybe that's the problem, but I'd like one example where a game that wasn't precise enough with analog sticks that was fixed with mouse. So, yeah. There's all this bitching that it's a terrible port, that "I'm glad I didn't buy it", "I'm not gonna buy this game unless it's on sale for $2.50", "Ubisoft, thanks for taking what could've been awesome and shitting on it."

So that lengthy rant brings me to the real meat of the issue: Idiots who are "Going to stop buying games from 'Evil Company Z' because they did something bad." I saw forums where people said that they hated Ubisoft and that they lost a customer, but what made it weird was, they acted like they were never gonna buy any game from Ubisoft ever! And people were talking about AC on this thread! I know it seems dumb, and I don't care how angry you are, but do not make promises you aren't going to fucking keep. Stuff like Diablo 3, DMC5, etc. has people saying they're never going to buy a game from a certain developer/publisher ever again, or that they've lost their business, but how often is that true?

TL;DR: I read about people bitching about From Dust's crappy PC port (Even though I'm playing through just fine and am on the second-to-last level), and their clamoring about little-to-no graphical settings or problems that may not have been fixed by any developer/publisher. These people claimed they would stop buying stuff from Ubisoft (I.e. didn't just say they were gonna boycott From Dust), but they, like those that are upset about Diablo 3 and DMC5, are just either stupid or raging.

Discussion: What's your opinion on people who state that they're not going to buy games from developers anymore, and are the people who are upset about From Dust justified in being upset? (Also, I'd still like one example of a game where a precision issue on a console was fixed with mouse support on PC)
