my ps3 is broken

ok, my ps3 decided that i no longer wants to play games. Everything is fine accept the second i put in any game it freezes. I know its not overheated but if anybody has or knows what this problem is, please give me any tips on how to fix it.

I had a similar problem a while back. The way I fixed it was doing a system reformat.

Warning: If you do attempt a system reformat then back up all your data, otherwise you will lose it.

how did you back up your data, what else can you hook it up to besides another PS3?

I backed up my data on a USB mass storage device. You could also use an external hard drive.
