There is this radio channel that I love (but I will not tell the name of it, for this thread is not meant as free advertisement) and they have this rather crazy morning show. A month earlier they had a male and female pornstars there to clone their sexes. It worked fine and the hosts even got to keep the cloned penis as some kind of token of triumph. And for a few weeks they looked for a voluntary to "try out" the cloned penis (basically a dildo). And earlier today, they had finally found a voluntary woman and gave her a headset and the penis as she went to bathroom to do the deed. But suddenly the female radio host started panicing and convinced the woman that it wasn't a good idea to masturbate with a cloned pornstar's penis in a live morning show.

So... do you think their idea was awesome or aweful? Have you ever heard of anything as shocking happening intentionally on radio?

You should see some of the things Howard Stern got away with, I'm going to take a stab and say you heard this on a 'hard rock' channel since they are typically the ones to pull stunts like this.

usually the program director would know about stunts like this ahead of time, if they didn't talk to him and the PD had a problem with the bit he could have put a stop to it. The weird thing is that the morning show is the show at a radio station so usually the PD is well aware of what's going on.

It could have been something else too, since radio is a business first, a client could have threatened to pull spots if they went through with the stunt. which would make anybody at the radio station uneasy.

Yes I have seen many things that pushed the envelope on the radio and have been lucky enough to avoid such troubles myself. One station where I'm from would put together a 'really tough contest' basically every week you have to do something extreme for a chance at $10,000. Some stunts included: 'give your dad a prostate exam' 'who has the smallest penis in the city' stuff like that.

The host for the station used to tell me that people would line up to just participate in the contest because they wanted to be on the radio. "Freaks" he called them.

DING DING WE HAVE A WINNER

I googled this "Howard Stern" and he does seem to have a pretty nice résumé.
