To day at lunch I was at my friends house eatin' my sandwich when his twin sister and a bunch of her friends walked in. Later I was sitting alone with them and they were on face book and one of them was having boy problems and then they turned to me and started to pour there problems on me and I am concerned they think of me as a gay friend when I'm straight as a pencil...
As you can imagine this is a difficult position because I like his sister.
Is this a bad place to be in?

Just because they talk to you about problems doesn't mean they think your gay. So no I don't think its a bad place to be. In fact if your friend's sister is talking about her problems to you then you can either start or strengthen a relationship.

You talked to girls and didn't make out with them?!?!? You must be gay! /sarcasm

Maybe it was because you were the only person with a Y chromosome in the room, and therefore might know how others of your kind think?

EDIT: And if she does think you're gay prove you're not... If you know what I mean...

I mean have sex with her

'Gay friend' seems to be less apt a description then 'cuddle *****' (you want more, and work for more, but only ever get cuddles). It's not necessarily a bad place to be in. I've known people make the jump from 'just friends' to 'something more' and are now in incredibly strong, rewarding relationships.

Others I know have also attempted the link and been shot to pieces. The trick is reading signals and timing, knowing when it's appropriate or if it is returned feelings.

Maybe you should ask the brother if you've got a chance. That'd also tell you if he's cool with it, unless he already knows you're interested.
