So, here it is, the Big Kahuna, the Double Gonzo, the DG, the 2K, Y2K, whatever you want to call it, after months and months I have finaly got there: Post number 2000.
You might ask me: "Why, Scammy ol' chap, why the heck did you do a special thread just for your post no. 2000?" And I would answer: "Because I was too lazy to do it for number 1000, that's why".
It seems not so long ago, that night of the 17th of March, in which posessed by extreme boredom, I decided to stop lurking moar, and finally create my online identity.
2k is an important number, it is here that we divide the (extremely nerdy) men from the (slightly less nerdy) boys. I remember hearing once that in one particular tribe somewhere in Africa, adolescents would have to earn their right to be a man by killing a grown male lion on their one, armed with just a spear. Well, this is a bit like that, a rite of passage if you will, except requiring a whola lotta less cojones.
Because I mean, let's face it, if you stayed here until your 2000th post, chances are you're hooked, and aren't getting away any time soon.
What this really is though, is a love letter to the fine site that is the Escapist. Inappropriate rape jokes and heavy metal related trolling aside, I can say that my stay here at the Escapist has been a very plesant one, and I'm sure I'll be staying for many more months to come.
