Here's my list in no set order.
1.Resident evil 2.
2.Prince of persia warrior within.
3.Mortal Kombat (2011)
4.Call of duty 4. (I don't play it anymore, due to lack of interest, but it was my first online game and I loved it.)
5.Pokemon Black and White, I love this game, yes some of the new pokemon look a bit dumb, ok really dumb but they grew on me. I love the game, it's battles, soundtrack (especially the soundtack) and story.
Actually some of the pokemon look pretty cool in my opinion.
My personal favourite of the new generation has to be Hydregion.

So much freedom and crap to do, plus a unique world on top of it.
-Deus Ex
Go through missions any way you want. Takes open level design to an extreme.
-Half Life 2
Best shooter ever. Period.
-Call of Duty 2
In my opinion the best CoD game. It had a decently long campaign that wasn't all about spectacle.
-Psychonauts
Great characters, original levels, and funny as hell. This game is pure genius.
