My xbox live problem I need serious help

I have been recently suspended from xbox live for a day on tuesday 22nd of spetember and whilst I was suspended an xbox live update was released, after this update was released I have been unable to play a game online without a red bar connection and have not recieved a update for my xbox live account and believe this to be the problem.

My NAT settings is set to open and before the update and suspension I could play games at full connection. I have tried playing multiple games online and all of the games I have played have had the same problem could you please advise me on what to do

You may need to perform a gamertag recovery. Give it a shot, in theory when you do it should check for updates.

When an update gets screwed up (you aren't being offered it) going to the network settings and testing your connection to LIVE will usually fix the problem and offer you the update.

No. That's xbox live, that's what it does. I learned to just deal with it.
Try deleting your account and then recovering it from xbox live. That helped me once or twice.

How can you not like Max? I found him alot easier to deal with than the employees they hire. At least he has a clue what the hell he is talking about.

Out of curiosity how does one get suspended for a day?

Also, I've seen many, I mean many, people with this problem that fixed it by testing their connection to LIVE. I've never seen one person say that that didn't work. Did you try it?

Clear cache how did I not think of that earlier thanks I'm gonna try that after derren brown has finished

I tried testing the connection and that did nothing

That's lame, you're the first in over 30 people I've seen use the "testing connection" method.

Hopefully the clearing the cache fixes it. If it doesn't, try testing the connection after you've cleared the cache.

Good luck. MS can make things pretty tough on their consumers some times. Email support is worthless 99.9% of the time, phone support is worthless 80% of the time.

Oh I thought you might have insulted someone over Live or something that happened in a game. I guess it depends on what the word was. MS does try and maintain a family friendly atmosphere in thier profiles and whatnot and that makes sense. They don't need more Jack Thompson types harassing them because they didn't take steps to protect the children.

To be fair, it is in the Terms and Conditions you agreed to when you joined Xbox Live.

Yes I bumped it after 7 minutes Whats your point at least I did because I needed help rather than being after a stupid badge

Not sure really it's sort of fixed but no proper update and not sure if it still lags

My point is that people are going to read and answer it. You have to give it time. A bump is necessary if no one's posted after an hour and you still need the advice.

If it's working then that's good. The update itself was quite small, so it shouldn't be crippling to not have it.

Thats my point though I've been at a stand still with lag on every game i've played which is why I've spent the past 2 days doing everything that everyone on the internet knows about connection problems and is why I have no idead what has and hasn't worked lol
