A while back I played a really fun sort of indie-ish game that for the life of me I cannot find on my massive HDD or online.
Here is what I recall:
- It was top down and controlled a little like Asteroids.
- You had a mothership that you could dock with and travel around with.
- Killing asteroids and stuff caused floating green, red or white orbs that could be picked up and used to research stuff.
- Every now and then big frigates and the like could spawn and when killed dropped a lot of stuff.
- You could travel around a big map of space from zone to zone.
- There were a lot of different weapons - homing missiles, big lasers and the like, different ship chassis etc.
- There were about 5 space zones total, each ending with a big boss fight.
- The cutscenes and avatars were anime-like.
- It may have been called "star...something".
I was wondering if:
A) Anyone else remembers this game and could remind me of the title
.
B) Anyone else has a similar problem - that one game you played but can't remember the title of!
