I haven't watched a ton of the show over the years, partly because of what I will openly admit is probably the dumbest reason ever for hating on a show: Jamie's beret. Seriously, I don't know what it is, but I just want to set that stupid thing on fire.

Anyway, was still a fun show and I'm always for any show that gets people interested in science and tests out "movie logic".

They weren't fond of each other?

Aww man, I always pictured them as brothers; plenty of squabbling but they always have each other's back. Somehow it made the show feel that much cooler. Then again I haven't seen Myth Busters in ages. Maybe the spark was, as they say, gone for a bit now.
I'm betting it's closer to the Top Gear UK trio.

Good fun and times while filming, but they get their fill of each other throughout the work. They don't hang out all that often outside of filming.

Likewise, Jamie and Adam are a successful team, but they might get their fill of each other while being in that team.

So... dislike? No. I think they hold mutual respect for their differences and let the magic happen. If "Mythbusters" was either all-Jamie or all-Adam it would be terrible (and pretty much result in "How It's Made" and "Junkyard Wars" respectively). Together? A decade and a half of a hit television show.

I didn't realise Adam and Jamie didn't like each other though, that's a shame.
I can't imagine that being all that true. I mean, working with people you don't like for business reasons is common enough, but a television show for 14 years? I'd think both of them are qualified enough to find other shit if it was really an issue.

That's only 14 years of the one show (well, longer probably, they're seasonal layout was odd to say the least). Their original work of special effect artists as M5 Industries has been around a fair bit longer. They have had creative differences but if they didn't like each other as claimed then they would have parted ways well before mythbusters was started.
I think the situation is more along the lines of there being a fair bit of difference between not liking someone and actively disliking someone. They're just coworkers. They respect each others work when they're in the office but they're not about to share a beer together when they clock out for the day. They go their separate ways when work is over and come back in to work the next day.

Yeah... I'm one of those people that stopped watching after the "side-trio" left, but I was hoping Mythbusters would last 15 seasons at the time... Then again, given when I did find out Jamie and Adam's chemistry was more of a myth off-camera than the myths busted on the show, that would explain some of the humor-driven banter between the two of them especially when one was saying in towards the camera and the other one wasn't within good sound-distance to hear it... :p

Anyway, if there's nothing going on BBC, for example, I'll check out the final season... and any other episode I've missed, too...
