Who doesn't like Mythbusters?
No I have been watching it for years but I never watch TV that often so I missed it often.Arkzism said:... you just started watching mythbusters... where you living in a cave?
Oh, I didn't know that, thanks! I've always wondered if it works and now I know. If I'm ever in such a situation, I will not hesitate to cover said grenade =]Diamondback One said:Actually it's not just cartoons, current day military still does that, including an American Army Medic who did that when a grenade landed next to him and his patient, blew his stomach and intestines right out, but saved his life since the helmet absorbed a major part of the impact (and prevented him from becoming confetti). Not sure how they saved his life though, crazy stuff.thedeathscythe said:You know in those cartoons and old war movies, the enemy throws the grenade and the soldier jumps on it with his helmet covering it to shelter the blast? Would that work? Maybe he would die, but would it shelter it enough to keep his teammates alive?
I like the show. Not enough to have a favorite, but it is entertaining to watch.
As for MythBusters, damn I love that show. But as a previous posted stated: When the shit hits the fan episode was just... wrong. But I forgave them with the Tornado watcher's car vs 747 Engines episode.
I missed it... I think I'm going to cry.lacktheknack said:1. They are currently in the midst of a 21 hour Mythbusters marathon.
2. Mythbusters is the only show I watch.
3. My eyes are bleeding.
Test: Explain how all three are related.
I think... it's... real...Casual Shinji said:Holy shit dude, is that picture real?Canid117 said:![]()

...Oh yeah, yeah I...uh........I love Mythbusters too, but my brain can't seem to focus on my favourite myth right now *glare*
It's not the force of the explosion that kills you, it's the shrapnel. That's why the old WW2 ones look like pineapples...thedeathscythe said:Oh, I didn't know that, thanks! Also this. I noticed that it is happening to TopGear too which is kinda lame as that it the most watched TV show in the world for a reason.Shapsters said:While I love Mythbusters I hate, HATE the acting. It's fucking awful when they try to casually talk to each other and it sounds scripted and cheesy. Just be natural, it used to be way less cheesy!

It is a bad thing! There is too much thus you cannot appreciate it when it happens. It is like eating candy all day for a week. Not very pleasent.Anezay said:You say that like it's a bad thing.Saulkar said:I really love mythbusters but I am very scornful of the large amount of goofing off and focusing on myths with large explosions in over abundance. The problem? There is too much! While it is good to see some goofyness and explosions, seeing them all the time decensitizes you to it thus it loses its appeal. They need to moderate.
