Hello.
I am, as you might notice from my small amount of posts, a new member of this community, and I would very much like to learn how to do certain things (mostly how to embed videos, and not just have a link, and also how to embed links in writing, rather than just having a URL). I would greatly appreciate it if you replied.

If you want to figure out how to do things with code like this, quote the person. Find where the element your looking for is and see how they've set up the brackets and everything.

There's a sticky in the forums somewhere, that covers almost all the special tags, link options etc, but to get you started,

with the code from the url after the = added will make a youtube link viewable on the post you make.

For example, a clip showing how Florence Nightingale was perhaps not as angelic as recorded.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHWtXSKSQSY

changes to [ youtube=xHWtXSKSQSY ] (remove the spaces tho)


If you 'quote' me, you'll see the exact way I've used it, this works to see how images, bold, italics, etc all are applied.

This is how you make a link with words [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EK2tWVj6lXw]

For youtube videos it is:

[ youtube=*numbers+letters in the url here* ] (without the spaces).
