WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING ON THIS THREAD. ALL SHEETS MUST BE PM'D TO ME

Hello everyone! I am seeking kind folk to participate in an RPG based around the Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer backstory.

For those of you who don't really pay attention to that, the Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer teams are nicknamed "N7 Spec Ops" teams. They are drawn from the best of the best fighters from across the entire galaxy, regardless of background. Mercs and Marines alike can join an N7 Spec Ops team.
They respond to any matters of import during the war against the Reapers that can only be handled by a small team.

Here is the layout for a character sheet.
Name:
Race:
Class:
Age:
Abilities: (No more than 5 please)
Equipment: (OTHER THAN WEAPONS)
Weapons:
Appearance:
Clothing: (Off duty)
Armour:
General Bio:
War Record: (Not needed, if so inclined to add extra depth)

Assuming we have enough interest, I'll post my own character, and any important NPC characters that will be needed immediately.

There are a few things I'd like to mention first.
1. All playable races and classes (including the N7 designations, Ex-Cerberus, and non-standard (Valkyrie, Ghost, Havoc, etc.) are permitted, however, there will be a cap on the number of each archetypal class.
2. You may be (for example), an Asari Soldier or a Krogan Engineer, however, you must acknowledge that you will not develop as strongly as the others, due to your races weaknesses.
3. I'd prefer that we limit the number of Drell, as their backstory is hazy at best. First come first serve.
4. Remember, N7 Spec Ops teams are the BEST OF THE BEST. We are not some 2 credit mercs for hire with predator pistols. We are N7 Marines, Ex-Cerberus Operatives, Justicars, Battlemasters, etc.
5. On that note about predator pistols... we are the best, but not everyone can have N7 Typhoons and Acolyte Pistols. Be realistic. I will allow heavy weapons (such as the ML-77 and the Firestorm NOT THE CAIN), but there will be limits placed on you.

Have at it Mass Effect fans!

Name: Nilus Kyral

Race: Turian

Class: Sentinel

Age: 29

Abilities: Tech Armour, Warp, Overload, Throw.

Equipment: Knife, L3 Biotic Implant, High Grade Turian Manufactured Explosives

Weapons: M-96 Mattock with scope, M-5 Phalanx.

Appearance: Dark Yellow Skin with white colonial markings cover both eyes horizontally. He has a smaller head fringe when put into comparison with other turians. The right side of his face is lightly scarred after a fist fight with a Vorcha on Omega during shore leave.

Clothing: "No Armour? HA! Someone hasn't been to Omega!"

Armour: Turian Medium Armour, with a helmet. Dark Green with SIlver Plating.

General Bio: Like all Turians, Nilus joined the military at the age of 15, and continued to serve all of his life. As a recognised biotic, Nilus advanced through the military ranks quickly, and soon found himself with his own command. Having served valorously (primarily against the Geth), Nilus found himself appointed to an N7 Special Operations team under Rear Admrial David Thorel. Nilus is the epitome of a Turian soldier. He always completes the mission, no matter the cost, and will not allow anything, or anyone, stand in his way.

I still look forward to the day I can RP an Elcor...
Name: Komma'Rinnel Vas Lokshi
Race: Quarian
Class: Sentinel
Age: 29
Abilities: Push, Pull, Reave, Tech armor, Overload.
Equipment: Specialized Medigel for use on himself, and the L3-R. He won't shut up about the second one.
Weapons: A very heavily modified Avenger assault rifle. Larger mags, stabilizers up the wazoo, lightweight parts, that sort thing.
Appearance: He is stocky, for a quarian at least. He stands at around 5'8, and slightly more muscular than the usual quarian. He can't even remember what he looks like underneath his bio-suit, but he hopes he has a beard.
Clothing: Biosuit.
Armour: His biosuit is snow white, and extremely light, except around the torso which is reinforced with old human kevlar. His visor is cyan blue, and outfitted with thermal vision, and made out of bulletproofed glass around the eyes, with plastic reinforcement around the edges. These additions to his suit can't be seen from the outside, of course, but they do equal much better protection against the elements.
General Bio: He was born the child of an overbearing father, who was head of Engineering division on the Lokshi, and a mother he never got to know, as she died during child-birth. People told him she was a navigator when he was old enough to care. In fact, his whole childhood was filled with people telling him things he should've cared about, engineering. He can see why they thought he would, he was constantly tinkering with things. For the most part his interests were varied, until he saw a biotic. One came to trade with them once, and his powers seemed like just that, super powers! Something fantastic, and seemingly rare. He devoted most of his time working with broken implants, and seeing how they tick. He used his pilgrimage as his official good-bye to the Flotilla, though he didn't say so to anybody. He went straight to Omega, hoping to get an implant. He was quickly taught how expensive they are, and worked as a minor mercenary and major gambling addict. After several (2 at the most) years, he finally saved up enough money for one, and even got the surgery despite the constant advice that he really shouldn't. When it was over, he was alive, and able to use basic abilities. He learned from his friend, an Asari in his merc band. His crowning achievement was his mastery over 'Reave', all it took was months of arduous training to earn that ability.Still, this ability made him a novelty, and made his friends and him somewhat known around the galaxy. His eager friends took the new work well, despite the new hours being hell and mostly being bodyguards for the paranoid assholes that are commonly known as politicians. One of these suggested they join his pet project, an N7 spec ops team after saving his life from angry Elcor. They accepted, and here they are.

I'll edit if needed. Tired now though D:

Name: Lon Klack

Race: Volus

Class: Engineer

Age: 34

Abilities: Shield Boost, Recon Mine, Proximity Mine, Tactical Cloak.

Equipment: Above listed explosives, (questionably legal) hacking tools, and lots of credits.

Weapons: Ultralight M-25 Hornet, M-6 Carnifex

Appearance: Completely average height for a Volus (I.E. very short), Lon has a very similar pressure suit to most Voluses, colored mostly shades of blue with the normal yellow visor.

Clothing: Due to reliance on shields over armor, his pressure suit in leisure is the same he uses in battle.

Armour: Normal Volus pressure suit. High grade shields

General Bio: Born on the Volus home planet of Irune, Lon was one of several sons born to a high standing merchant family. Seeing that competing for the family fortune would be a pointless endeavor against his 7 brothers, nor would he be able to make his own mark for merchants, Lon joined the Volus Auxiliary troops for the Turians, where he found he was extremely physically fit for a Volus (I.E. he could jog more than 50 meters without collapsing) and had a pension for gadgets and explosives. He quit the Auxiliary, and became a mercenary Private Defense Agent, hiring his rare combinations of inflitration and explosive potential. He became quite famous for being able to dish out a LARGE amount of damage on the battlefield, even if he could take a shot just as well as a sheet of paper.

Lon became well known for being very loyal to the highest bidder, following all orders, never caring who it is or what cause they are fighting for. Gotten fairly wealthy as sides had "bidding wars" in the middle of battles as each side kept offering high prices for Lon's services, most often ending in the loser's death. While he never made many friends with the council, they decided to give a place on the N7 special Ops to Lon, to keep his destrutive power focused on their enemies on not on themselves.

War Record: Has been part of many conflicts, such as the Turian-human war and many a Krogan conflict, sometimes serving both sides when one side started paying better.

Iving, accepted.

Ruedyn, accepted conditionally.

Ruedyn, two things. One, if you REALLY want to RP an Elcor, we can work something out, with the whole walking tank scenario. PM me if you're serious about it.

Two, Quarian Biotics are EXTREMELY rare. Like... they hardly ever happen. For all races (other than Asari) to become a biotic, one must be exposed to eezo, which is a core component in Mass Effect drives. Element Zero is so expensive, and such a rare and valuable resource that the Flotilla cannot afford to spend it encouraging biotic development. The only way Quarians are generally exposed to eezo is through an engine accident, which is generally fatal to the crew anyway. I'm not saying they don't happen, but getting an implant isn't the only thing that creates a biotic. Please rewrite your story accordingly. Other than that, it's great.

Ah fuck it, I wasn't going to since I have finals next week, but this idea I have is too ridiculous not to try

Name: Ravvik

Race: Vorcha

Class: Soldier

Age: about 12 (he doesn't know his exact date of birth)

Abilities: Bloodlust, Carnage, Flamer, Submission net

Equipment: Armor piercing ammo, a hydralic amp and he has customized his omniblades to a small extent.

Weapons: M-22 Eviscerator with a High caliber barrel, and an M-5 Phalanx pistol

Appearance: Ugly, what do you expect from a vorcha? He has a darker skin tone than most vorcha, as an adaptation to living on a world with intense sunlight. He is also shorter than most vorcha but also more muscular as a result of a brief time spent on a high gravity world.

Clothing: His off-duty atire is surprisingly varied, even inluding some formal attire tailored to fit a vorcha, and he has an interesting collection of hats. He looks fairly ridiculous in any of his clothes but nevertheless attempts to project an air of formality.

Armour: Not much, but still more than your standard vorcha, it is made of a flame retardent material to prevent him from being burned, as that would hinder his regeneration. He is indifferent to the color of his armor but tries to pick a shade that will help him blend in with the environment better.

General Bio: Ravvik worked for the blood pack from a young age, and quickly proved himself a cunning and dangerous soldier, more intelligent than your average vorcha (though that still isn't saying much) he soon found himself in charge of a small division of the blood pack, and ended up with the unexpected responsibility of having to speak for the group, adaptable as always he went to lengths to educate himself to better serve in this function. He proved surprisingly erudite for a vorcha and while he has a tendency to use large words to appear intelligent he is a surprisingly capable negotiator and strategist, and generally makes every effort to be polite. When he isn't fighting he can often be seen reading or trying to otherwise further his education, though he realises that his race and lifespan put great limits on how smart he can possibly become.

He was recruited to an N7 spec ops team after his division of the blood pack was mostly wiped out in a battle with Reaper forces, as his tactical decisions and martial prowess prevented the fight from becoming a total disaster and because they wished for a diverse racial presence on the force to encourage and represent galactic cooperation. He views it as an interesting opportunity to test his skills and to fight for more than credits, something which appeals to his delusions of nobility.

I might edit this later, and I'm open to suggestions as to improving it.

I was mostly joking about the elcor thing. I assume it happened AFTER his flotilla days, not during.

You quoted the incorrect person. Yes, though he could've just pissed off a biotic, and got exposed that way :p

I plan on leaving eezo exposure reasoning for a later date, as well as most of his backstory. It's more fun that way :\

May I suggest we do not actually start this until this week is over? So many Escapist users are in highschool and college, and this is finals week for a large portion of them. Once most of us are on break we can have a more exciting RP.

I second this idea, I'll be pretty busy on finals week, but mostly free afterwards.

This I did not know. I'm Australian and we've already finished. Sure, we'll wait a week. Still looking for people though.

I fully admit it's been a while since I've played ME3's multiplayer, and I haven't had the opportunity to play a Shadow at all (as much as I'd love to visit petty revenge on those motherhumping Cerberus Phantoms), but I still like Mass Effect, so I'll give this a whirl. Feel free to correct me on stuff I've messed up.

Name: Ailisa "Ai" Fletcher
Race: Human
Class: N7 Shadow
Age: 29
Abilities: Tactical Cloak, Electric Slash, Shadow Strike, Acrobatics,

Equipment: Night-vision goggles, small explosives, small pouch for extra thermal clips, cloak generator.

Weapons: Mono-molecular blade, palm-gun, Black Widow

Appearance: Lithe build, tall, short black hair, piercing blue eyes that glow slightly (because of the implants), pale skin. Scar on the back of her right hand when she mishandled her blade the first time she held it. Light Scottish accent. Exudes a general air of "not important; ignore me".

Clothing: Thick leather jacket covering body armor and a small shield generator (she's been to Omega), form-fitting jeans with black sneakers. Wears black gloves to hide her palm-gun, and keeps her mono-blade in a special hiding place under her jacket.

Armour: All-black. The only thing not black on it is the N7 logo, which is dark red and grey.

General Bio: She joined the Alliance when she was 19 in order to escape her life of petty theft. It turned out her skills became invaluable when she became an Infiltrator for the Alliance Military, and she had several commanders before eventually moving up to Captain Hannah Shepard's crew after joining the N7 program.

Again, she's hopped commanders and ships up to now, and after getting her implants, has a much higher success rate than she did before, which naturally, was already rather impressive.

I'm gonna be gone most of tomorrow, just so you know. If you decide to start before I get back, I'll try to get caught up.
It's mostly good, but the only thing is the N7. To become N7, one needs to attend the school in Rio, and become N1. Then go back again and again and again to become an N6. Finally, you receive a commendation from the admirals/parliament/someone important, and then begin N7 training. Your age is all fine for this and everything, but there is one thing that really strikes me.

How did you receive your commendation? That will play a major part in your interactions with people, especially other humans. Were you there during the battle on Eden Prime? Skylian Blitz? Torfan? Did you only earn your commendation during the Reaper War?

Name:Luna Hatashi
Race: Asari
Class: adept
Age: 113
Abilities: heavy throw, Heavy pull, Heavy lift, Heavy slam
Equipment: Data pad and data collector for scientific purposes and a general science omnitool.
Weapons: HMWP Master Pistol: older style pistol that doesn't rely on thermal clips, but uses a built in cooling system.

Appearance:

Clothing: Usually wears a black tank top with black pants, going simple because she doesn't need complexity in relaxation.
Armour: Dark red and black lightweight armor with heavy shields utilizing her biotic powers.

General Bio: Luna is born to both Asari parents, being a pure blood. One of her parents was a scientist and the other a soldier, inspiring both aspects into their daughter. Luna's life mainly consisted of military schools and universities to expand her knowledge on the protheans while making her combat ready. After graduating from a large number different accadamies and universities, she had finally came to rest on Eden prime as a Combat and science instructor for the Military academy there. When it came under attack, she and her students held up in the acadamy and defended against geth attacks with her leadership. However, after receiving many commendations, she left the military life and went to explore prothean technology aspects on novaria. This didn't turn out very wel as Novaria soon became under scrutiny and majorly interrupted by a specter's work there and rogue geth attacking her lab. She repelled them as well with support from her research team's guard.

Luna soon left Novaria and proceeded to head to earth where the Asari set up her own Science and military school. She prospered there and couldn't help but grow attached to the planet, eventually s rolling in the alliance as a combat scientist and working her way into N-series of teams over a long period of time.

When earth was attacked but the reapers, Luna helped with evacuations, risking her life to save countless human lives. When evacuations were complete and military personnel were being evacuated as well, Luna was on one of the last shuttles off of the planet and became highly decorated for her actions and promoted to N-7 for displaying skills and valor seen only in the likes of those soldiers.
Military Career:
Several different military acamies and four different universities.
Survived Eden prime
Survived Novaria
Survived the reapers attack on Earth.

I hope this is ok.

N7 is an Alliance Marine Corps designation. The N7 squads are nicknamed for the fact that they are generally led by N7 marines. Other than that, that's all good. You can work with the alliance, but you cannot be a part of it, as that's the human government.
